Bob Cumming's goal at Wrexham in the early 80s to make it 2-0 when the fog was so thick you could barely see the halfway line. Having got to the ground late I went into the home end by mistake with one other Town fan on the same train. As far as I am aware, we were the only Town fans who actually saw the goal. As the players went back into our half there was a belated roar from the away end as Nigel told them we'd scored.

That was an amazing game. Batchy had so much "free time" he was able to practically give us a kick by kick report on what was going on. How the game finished is a complete mystery.

This is a BRILLIANT thread

In no real order (and trying not to repeat anything)

burnley away for the auto windscreens, on the way out the ground some of burnley's finest telling me we'd never fill Wembley and me brave with elation telling them at least we were flipping there

away at Bolton at burnden park. (92/3 ish) We'd gone on the family coach and ended up with tickets slap bang in the middle of the home end behind the goal. Town scored a last minute winner (possibly equaliser and going absolutely mental. On the telly the next day you saw a little pocket of town celebrating.

Hereford away a couple of seasons ago - my stag do last game of the season. drunk as a fart.

Stoke away - an impressionable 11/12 year old "always look on the bright side of life"

when milky bar used to go in the ponny

Matt Tees first game back in his second spell. As I recall the fans had chipped in with the money to bring him back from Luton(?) We played York in the last match pre-Tees in front of 4000. The Messiah returns and the crowd goes up to 7295. Must have nearly got the fee back in his first two games...Of course he managed to score...Thus are fairy tales written....

The barrow which used to sell sweets and snacks which went round the ground inside the fencing. Run by a chap called Ron I think. He also used to do the half time score boards pre electronic scoreboard.

The first move of that brilliant Chairman Paddy Hamilton.   The memory of the atmosphere at that game still brings a tear to the eye. I doubt it could ever be repeated.  Old Footballer got the other goal, a pen.

Me and Morph finding an old style brown pay packet in the Cons open corner about 1980. Had about £25 in it, we blew it on an Atari game and about 5 flavour concentrates and a spare gas bottle for the soda stream on the way home, mixed them up in a River Phoenix style frenzy, overgassed the soda and were sick as f\/ck .
Rock and Roll if you were 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!
