And another one a few minutes later from Mike Brolly as I recall?

If you got there late you'd missed most of the action (though I think it ended up 3-1 to us?)

Another one where I did miss out is Wednesday away about '82 where we were 2-0 up after 3/4 mins and there were loads of us still outside the ground trying to get in to the Leppings Lane end with South Yorkshire's finest keeping control of us at the turnstiles...something of a foretaste of the semi disaster in '89

Having missed the goals, the best part of that night for me was Nigel making a penalty save to keep the Yorkies at bay

Danny Coyne performance at Deepdale. Drew 0-0. Apparently Preston had 27 attempts. David Moyes stated that it was one of the finest goalkeeping performances that he had ever seen.

Gordon Walker and Dave Boylen in the centre circle at Belle Vue, Doncaster for the kick off. One was about 6'5" the other 5'3".

Is that the game where there is a brilliant black and white picture of Drinks and Kilmore wheeling away in celebration and a bog roll is sailing through the air from the town end?

It was from that though I didn't go to either of the Chesterfield games. I have the picture in the 1979/80 souvenir and it made me laugh when I saw it. I think it was Kev Moore wheeling away. Amazing what we can remeber from 30 years ago...

Sheff Utd 4 0 was the best game ever for me.

Super Clive' hat trick penalty in season opening 3-3 home draw.
Think we had same result same opposition a year earlier...

Remember the other 3-3, we were 2-0 up after about 5 minutes at Burnden Park, Kevin Jobling with a right cracker

Also Gordon Hobson ripping Millwalls defence apart. Think he got a hat trick and we won 5-1

Beating the Scunts 7-1

I remember that 5 1 win. I did my ankle in earlier that summer during a drunken trip to Glastonbury mudbath and it gave way pogoing for the fourth or fifth goal.

I seem to remember giving Gordon Hobson and the Exeter fans some sh*t* after he missed a penalty for them against us in 1990. We had a lively "discussion" with the home fans afterwards, not a ground you associate with trouble from the locals. Cracking day out all the same. The bar at Yeovil station on the way down was dry by the time we left.

I'd parked in a nearby multi-story car park for that Exeter game and me and my mate were chased through it by a group of Exeter chavs after the game.

Anyone remember the nutter who shimmied up one of the beams in the Ponny in the late 80s? Copper tried to catch him but slid down to chorus of 'He's going up he's going up - you're not, you're not!'

Boulding and Allen destyoying Palace and Wimbledn's defenders in back to back league games in second tier in 2002.

Tiny Jamie Forrester chipping Luton's giant keeper in the 7-1 FA Cup drubbing in late 90s?

Livvo half killing Casey Keller as he bundled player and ball into the net against Leicester in League Cup in 1997/8 season

Watching Ivano glide through a sea of Norwich defenders before producing an inch perfect cross for Groves (I think?) to head home in 2-2 at Carrow Road in 95/96

He was pretty good at that wasn't he? I recall a brilliant hat-trick away at Burnley when they were top of the league (W 4-1) in his 2nd spell for City, plus he gave me discount on a pair of Adidas Samba trainers I bought from his shop on The Cornhill.
