The whole head coach/manager thing was cleared up by Jason in an interview.
He effectively said that he made a mistake in calling it a head coach role.
David Artell will have total control over signings.

…… if he continues to play like he did when he came on. Unfortunately, as we all have witnessed, Gav is just very inconsistent both within a match itself or from game to game. Certainly capable of some very influential performances but they don’t happen often enough and thus I think he will remain a squad player until the end of the season and then move on.

yet he's the only midfielder we have who consistently turns up with goals and assists. ( and has done since the day he signed here) He is very underrated

Completely agree. Might not always look pretty but I bet his ‘data’ is very good.

funny really that there is recent criticism of Harry and Holohan and yet Hunt had a stinker at the weekend and no-one has hardly mentioned it
