Jake Reeves at Wimbledon. Very impressive in the first game of the season and when they were on TV a couple of weeks ago.

Charlie Kirk has mutually left Charlton.. probably out of our reach but worked with Artell at Crewe and has been very underwhelming since leaving.

I would expect that Charlie Kirk is already lined up with his next Club - you’re not just going to terminate your contract and force yourself into unemployment without a plan.

I’d put a wager on him being the first through the door!!

True, you don’t terminate before a window unless you’ve probably already got something lined up.

I would guess though he hasn’t walked a way with nothing. Bet he’s got a proportion of the remainder of his deal, works for both parties - Charlton can save some of the contract amount and Kirk can move on elsewhere.

Whether it’s here, who knows but we maybe just making the easy connection. He’s been let go by a club in mid (ish) table above, it’s not a massive drop tbh.

It’s only 11 days before the window. He probably just fancied Boxing Day snaffling round a tin of Roses rather than running around in the cold. A wise decision.

Question 1) half million pound player at big League 1 club - what wages do you think he'd be on?
Question 2) how much does a team in 18th-20th place in div 2 pay?

answer - not enough to be able to afford the answer to question 1. Dream on.....

In the corporate world “mutual agreement” generally means a compromise agreement, with only a couple of weeks to go before the window opens why would you pay someone off when they could go at no real cost.
