The other thing that might affect things (more so in 6 months time) is how the players react to Artell - there will be people who love his approach and equally others who prefer the Doig school of management, plus there will be winners and losers in Artell's assessment of the players.
I am told we are interested in an out of contract player & it's rumoured he wants a ball playing centre half (not necessarily this first target)

Who wouldn’t enjoy the Doig school of management, tbf.

We've a certain attacking player just back training - hopefully he'll find some form, be like a new signing

No, not even a position. Wouldn't it be lovely if it was Toto, but I think hes quite settled in the north west
Wrexham was mentioned as a possibility for him.
Youd imagine it's someone that Artell knows

Toto has left Fleetwood. Have him back in a heartbeat.

In fairness talking about Heartbeat I think Nick Berry is more likely to sign rather than Toto

Would take Alf Ventress as a lad to be good around the group.

Toto did leave with a bit of fans dislike because of a few idiots.

The rest of us loved you Toto.

Would love for Toto to come here but for the life of me can't see him venturing back this way, or indeed here with how it ended.

Wrexham was my first thought when I saw he had left Fleetwood.

Based on nothing more conclusive than looking at who Artell has had relative success with before and is out of contract, I'm going to throw a name out there - Chuma Anene.  Had a fairly successful season with Crewe under Artell's promotion winning side in 19/20.  Looks an absolute unit.
