Purely a hunch but think Khan will be on his way this January .

You can expect some wrath if that happens!

I get the argument against Khan's end product but for me he's a better footballer than Eisa. Much tidier and more comfortable in possession. Probably the most technically proficient of all our wide attacking players, so on that basis I could see him fitting into an Artell squad. Have mentioned this before recently, but for me he's also a much better partner down that left hand side for Glennon than Eisa as he actually covers him. The lack of end product with Khan is something inexplicable though, he has all the attributes to have better goal/assist stats but he seldom seems to find space in the box to get a key pass or a shot off. One of my favourite things about him is his ability wriggle/pass his way out of tight spots in midfield, but he also finds himself in these same spots in the opposition penalty box. It's like he's a magnet for opposition players at times. I don't think he's a particularly easy player to deploy but I think if we can properly crack how to use him there's a quality L2 player there. I just feel like we've only seen glimpses of that so far.

Don’t get this at all. Khan has been available for less games then Eisa and when he’s played he’s done less. Never thought of Grimsby as being a hotbed for romantics who think being some kind of undefinable technically good footballer who does nice things is more important than someone who turns up and creates or scores goals. Sure I like pretty football but I value the players making a difference over some form of pretty potential that doesn’t turn into anything tangible. Would far prefer a win than a where we’ve looked good and dropped points against crap teams. See Crawley, Colchester, Sutton, Newport, Forest Green etc etc.win those and we’re in the play offs.

Looked good was the wrong wording. More a case of seeing the opposition are poor and a good league 2 team would have got 3 points. Fed up with excuses and finding reasons to see potential.

The problem we have with Khan is his flourishing International career is taking him away far too often than is useful for us. I think at one point this season he had played more times for Pakistan than for Town. And even when he is available for us, he doesnt appear in the starting XI too often.

I would rather have a constant performing starting XI type player in the team than a part-time International bit part player.

You think Khan is a better footballer and wide player than Eisa/Gnahoua/Vernam ? This is Otis Khan that hasn’t contributed an assist for us since October of last year. His last actual contribution was NYD against Stockport.. that’s 11 months ago. Khan very much flatters to deceive and has done in his time here. Eisa is very much a better option out wide purely down to the threat he posses from range and his ability to score goals. Arthur is the best footballer out the lot, you can see by the way he keeps the ball so close to him and the way he glides with it he’s got that touch of class. Massively underrated. Charles I think is the best winger at the club and I think will flourish under DA.

Based on the interview DA did with Matt Dean, i’d expect 3/4 players to leave the club in January. Seems he doesn’t want to be keeping players round for the sake of it if they aren’t going to be involved and has targets in mind. Says he’ll be having discussions with certain players about January which indicates players moving on. I think Amos, Khan, Green? , Waterfall could all potentially leave. When asked about Charlie Kirk he said we have an abundance of wide options but doesn’t want to overload in one area and leave us short in another. I definitely expect to see movement in the wide areas and central midfield and us bringing in another centre half.

Here we go willing players out again.

Khans a good player.

Eisa for me has been wholly underwhelming goals apart but still decent. nothing needs to change on the left side , doubt there will be any changes there. right wing needs a top up tho.
Arthur been very good for us.

That would be a problem for any potential buying club aswell though surely as it would be clubs lower down who probably can't carry a player that will be missing for a quarter of league games or whatever it is.

I actually thought Khan did really well in the Morecambe and MK games tbf though .
