I love Denzel and I loved the first film. The second not so much.
Have to agree although there were some very powerful scenes in the second film.

On the Denzel Washington and boxing film front, I watched The Hurricane recently. Decent film loosely based on the true story of a boxer fitted up for a murder he didn't commit as highlighted in the epic Bob Dylan song of the same title.

Seen it. Ok I felt .Million Dollar baby (2004) with Clint Eastwood isn't a bad boxing film either .

Last week I watched Dangerous Game starring Calum Best and Darren Day. Best plays a Premier League superstar who ends up in debt to Russian gangsters (boss played by You Bet legend Day). Honestly one of the most extraordinary things I've ever seen.

I liked The Hurricane too, it’s a good film but I loved Million Dollar Baby and I really like Clint Eastwood full-stop.
I’ve watched lots of Boxing films over the years without really thinking I’m a fan of them as such.
Journeyman is up there with them all of them though and had me sobbing like a baby at one point. It is not your typical typical boxing film however.

Did you lose a bet or were you being paid to watch that delight?

Best film I have seen to date though is the first Equalizer film with Denzel Washington, Sandford. Really touched a chord with me for so many reasons.

Nice to see you have a lot of love for Denzel.  For me as well Denzel Washington is a very good man and actor.

Belfast
9/10

A young boy and his working-class Belfast family experience the tumultuous late 1960s.

A bit short for my money but an absolute gem of a film.
