Spain more than edged it. Looked a level above England to me and totally did a job on us. Wasn't sure if we were really slow and ponderous on the ball because of a lack of movement and options or just that they were so much better on the ball than us. Probably a combination of both.

Would be interesting how the women's Spain team hypothetically would get on against Grimsby men's team.  Would give them a game I think.

They were excellent but they'd get absolutely hammered by a men's team at the level of Germany.

Spain were impressive - they pressured England high and constantly.  England were pretty poor today but probably due to Spain's pressure.

I thought the starting formation was not quite right - looked much more balanced 2nd half with James on the pitch

Great tournament....

They'd get hammered by GTFC because the pace and strength differential would be too much to overcome, even if they are better footballers.

I think England can certainly play a lot better but too many having an off day. I doubt that any of the forwards or midfielders will be happy with their performances. In general, I've been impressed with the ball retention of the team during most of the tournament but they fluffed it today - way too many needlessly poor passes whereas Spain barely made a mistake in possession. They also looked a little pacier than us in general, which obviously didn't help.

We've done really well to reach the final, however, so I hope they are proud with what they have achieved.

For me it would be 2-0 possibly 3-0 to Grimsby men's but in parts Spain women likewise English women would give Grimsby's men's team a game in parts . There's some really good womens players  on show . I've seen the women world cup in parts but this was the first full game I've seen. Very enjoyable Sunday morning watching that so respect to the women's game šŸ‘.

The womens team would get absolute smashed by a men's team. The link below highlights that the USA Women's team, multiple world cup winners, were beaten by FC Dallas Under 15's by 5 goals to 2.

Aye theres a massive difference in quality and physicality. No disrespect to the women, but iā€™m sure town would put 6/7 past them

One on one though like we use to play in the park as kids eg three and in ( whoever gets to three goes through ) I reckon some of the Spanish and English girls would beat some of the Grimsby players though eg Putellas ,Bonmatti or Russo ?.šŸ˜‰šŸ™‚.
