Don't like all this political finger pointing eg my party is better than yours and vice versa. Iam going to leave the quote below as my final message on this  thread as I understand some  people don't want to hear about religion:

God bless you all.

"When Catholics immerse themselves in a political party, they leave Catholicism.
When they immerse themselves in Christ, they lose party loyalty".

Fr Joseph Krupp

Here's a good one, Johnson admitting that they have been effectively selling peerages to big Tory donors:

Pretty much unreported in the media, which is a surprise, as it is illegal for the government to do this. Johnson has just admitted the Conservative Party is corrupt and his government can be bought off if the donations are high enough.

Not really a surprise as it is obvious what has been going on for years, but difficult to believe nothing has been made of this by the media.

Perhaps the tactic of asking questions in response to questions rather than answering them has run its course, the speaker was absolutely right to call him out on this. It is the only hour in the week when other MPs get to ask the PM questions and he should be expected to answer and answer truthfully

Perhaps they should just change the name of the event to "Prime Minister's Answers"? Might do the trick!

Has anyone considered that in reality our Parliament is in most years a dictatorship? As many Prime Ministers know an absolute majority means they can do what they want, making a debate meaningless. The resolution might be tweaked here and there but only at the PM's discretion to keep the troops happy.

The only time Parliament is a debating chamber is when the PM has a small majority and then has to listen, otherwise they rule like a King/Queen.

It's why we would be better off with a proper voting system which led to a proper representative democracy. I'd much rather see different parties in coalition with to and fro between them which should theoretically lead to less extreme policies. This presumes that the smaller parties aren't led by gutless gimps such as Nick Clegg, of course.

Get rid of the pathetic FPTP voting system and we'll end up with coalition governments most of the time which would represent a larger proportion of the voters. Less chance of corruption and cronyism becoming embedded in government if left or right-leaning voters have an alternative which isn't half way across the political spectrum from them.
