The covid inquiries have left me speechless at times, but the testimony of Matt Hancock has taken it to a new low. What an utter lying member this man is. And he's a victim himself apparently.

Gobsmacking!

Corporate murder charges should be brought against these illegitimates, but I fear they will walk away with a slap on the wrist, not to mention a healthy bank balance in his case.

Would one sooner work from home or have their hands on some birds arrse in the office ?

What a typical Tory budget yesterday.

Those on national minimum wage will pay 1.9% more of their gross income in PAYE & NI from April than at the start of this Parliament (2019/20 tax year). 11.29% in 2019 & 13.2% from April.

Those on the national median income on the other hand have gone from 20.36% of their gross income going to PAYE & NI contributions in 2019/20 to 18.35% from April this year.

I can’t wait until these scumbags are gone.

Labour have spent the last two days telling everyone the country’s credit card is maxed out, there is no magic money tree and their plan to save the economy is to get 700,000 people miraculously cured of whatever long-term illness they’re suffering and into work.

Looks like the Greens are the only ones with any actual vision for the country.

Two shockingly bad interviews on BBC Breakfast this morning.

Firstly, Reeves repeated the stupid mantra that we'll somehow grow the economy to pay for everything whilst paying off the national debt through restraint of expenditure. How the intercourse is that going to work?

The credit card guff is utterly shocking to hear coming out of the mouth of any politician, let alone a Labour shadow chancellor. When you or I need to pay off our credit card bill, we can't create the money to do so. Oh, and much of the 'national debt' is actually bonds which people want to buy to keep their savings safe. Also let's not forget the money created by QE and then given to the banks to keep them afloat after they excrement the bed and knackered the economy during the great financial crisis. This is money which the UK government created to give to the banks and... drumroll... we're now paying them flipping interest on it. Unbelievable.

Reeves is very keen to mention her work as an economist at the Bank of England, but doesn't seem to mention that, after leaving the BoE, she became senior economist at HBOS, not too long before it had to be nationalised because of shambolic management and lending. Hmmm. I wonder why she doesn't talk about that gig so much? When at the BoE she was also seconded to the IMF, 'helping' poor countries to restructure their debts. Given the inane nonsense she apparently believes about our economy, my guess is that she wasn't just flipping us over, she also copulated over those countries as well. Any politician talking about a "Maxed out credit card", shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the Treasury.

However, bad though Reeves' interview was, it paled into comparison with Hunt's. He looked like a sweaty rabbit in the headlights as he somewhat incautiously admitted that he didn't really realise that his budget would make lower-paid workers poorer. Obviously, the Tories know that lower earners aren't likely to vote for them, hence such a cynical budget which effectively takes money out of their pockets to give to those earning around the median salary who might well buy the bribe after getting £400 more per year. Many simply wouldn't care that those lower-paid earners are being copulated over of course.

And, even with that, most will be worse off as the tax allowances are frozen yet again whilst inflation remains relatively high.

So, the two main parties are (and will be) utterly inept when it comes to running the economy. When Labour inevitably get into power, things will only continue to get worse, albeit at a slower rate. That's unless they've been bullshitting and actually intend to invest in the economy to, you know, improve things and stop public services falling apart? Nah - Reeves wouldn't allow that.

LibDems are so whacky they aren't really worth mentioning at present.

The Greens are a bit green in many areas, but have by far the best economic plans. Unfortunately, due to our pathetic first past the post electoral system, it will be a wasted vote in most areas. A bit of democracy would be nice, wouldn't it?

Rant over.

The Spycops scandal was one of the main things that completely changed my world view. Ignoring all the absolutely heinous individual acts, the state-sanctioned rapes, the stealing dead children’s identities, etc., I just couldn’t understand why so much police time was spent infiltrating relatively decent groups of generally well-meaning people.

This is a really good book - https://www.awesomebooks.com/b.....R6mZ2lxoCRtEQAvD_BwE
