Quoted from Madeleymariner
Cant believe we have paid a fee for him

If it wasn't for the short sightedness of the old regime, we may well have received a fee for him instead.

Glad to have him back and he adds more firepower to what was a serious shortcoming of the team last season.

PH has now signed five players and four of them are attackers. Someone better check if he's feeling alright.

I'll be happy to be proved wrong but I don't see this as a good signing. I never did see him as a team player in the Hurst mould . Yes, occasionally he did some good individual work but barring his Bradford spell he seems to have a problem of blending in. Hopefully I'm wrong and he has matured in his outlook.

I’m more impressed with the desire to get their target and pay a fee, nominal or not, it’s something we’re not used to. Decent length contracts too.

Great signing. Would people agree that we're probably one or two signing off completing the attack now? Which considering it was the one outfield area that needed close to a complete overhaul is fantastic going at this stage in the window and absolutely unTownlike. Well done to all concerned, plenty of happy Mariners buzzing right now. Worth the wait. Can't wait to see him back in a Town shirt.

In January we were the only option.

There were 2 other clubs interested in this window but we were always the preferred option for Charles.

Yet another fee paid. When was the last transfer window where we have forked out on a fee as many times as we have already

When was the last time we had loads of dosh from an FA Cup run?

That was under Holloway, hopefully Hurst can improve that side of his game.
