Thank God for that I thought i had to come out of retirement "People's Park" jumpers for goalposts near the bandstand .
Very upmarket. I was more of an Immingham lower school field kinda kid. One post was a three litre bottle of strongbow and they other a turned over shopping trolley!

We are not being saddled with debt though, and that is quite a difference - This is investment into the club, and improvements continue to be made to the infrastructure, so it is hardly like we are being left to decay - I wonder what model you think you should follow - Clearly your current owners have a plan, it's common knowledge they speak with our Chief exec, I would imagine to pick his brains, but to a Non Grimsby fan It's clear they are trying to move you forward.
I would be interested how you think you would afford to pay League 1 wages on 6300 average attendance's at home, ours was 8.500 and we can't afford to compete without investment which currently is happening, should it stop we would obviously struggle. A cup run put us on a good footing with training facilities and a couple of squad investments - I would hope you would use your wisely, because they do not come around often for teams like us.
Supporters and facilities are often factors that will entice better players to your club, it will also play a huge part in teams higher up the pyramid lending you their best talent if they feel they will be looked after - Hence we have managed to get some high level loanees - Brennan Johnson and Carl Rushworth to name 2.
I have not been to BP for a few years, having been 5 or 6 times previously - I will come to the pre season game with my 13 year old and I am sure I will see a difference.
You won't see any difference in the ground that's for sure

What exactly do you mean regarding the investment that enables you to compete with wages? Is it through transactional arrangements at the club, or are people putting money into the club by joining the board?
You seem confident you won't be saddled with debt despite financial losses so you don't envisage people asking for any investment back, should things change?
I am by no means a financial expert but shares are purchased, the Jabara family are purchasing shares and at the same time increasing their stake in the Club - Again Clive Nates is a fantastic chairman so he is well trusted that decisions and the people involved in our club are the right ones.

They would have to raise investment to compete , with how small our ground is atm we can't even get more than 8400 in , we actually sell around 7k per game but count actual bums on seats rather than tickets sold (maybe 600-800 ST holders don't turn up for a lot of the home games ,and their seats don't go on resale) .
They are wise to tap into your hierachy , I have liatened to a couple of interviews with Nates and the CEO guy (I have forgotten his name ) and it's clear they are shrewd operators and want the best for the club .
Liam Scully, he seems to be very good at his job.
