They just walk away like Shutes did, if they don't like what they are asked to sign.

And poor ol john boy would shout  tyre kickers. It's not my fault I changed things and they didn't like it.

And who will be the losers in all this!,the fans yet again. We’re treated like we’re all idiots. We’ve raised thousands and thousands for the club and what for.

I have never believed a word Fenty has said. Yet I am asked to believe him when he says he wants out. People say that for Fenty it's about money and getting back what he put in. It isn't and never has been, and takeover deals will be proposed, accepted and then flounder and fail, for the same reason every time. The real reason the club is on the rocks, that no proposed takeover deal, or joint management/ownership of the club has ever come to pass ...

John Fentys ego will not allow him to give up control of the club.

And when you fall back into the mud it hurts a lot.
No! None of it was true, none of those things we thought we could see existed at all.

So if you were to slap 2.5m on the table you reckon he wouldn't accept and walk away
I thought it was all about the money hence why we've floundered over the past 20yrs

*floundered is probably putting it lightly

Christ you all wanted him sacked a few months ago. 6th place finish and he's now the messiah and can do no wrong
Update:  I think I've got this right - He was the messiah. He then wasn't. He then was again. Then it turned out he actually wasnt. He turned into one big huge messiah again. Now he's not actually the messiah we thought he was . Now I'm hoping he rises again quickly

I could well be wrong, but I thought following agreement to proceed sureties had to be posted by both parted & forfeited if either subsequently pulled out of the venture?

This is what i have been told, but i wont put names down. A former director resigned some years ago and left his half million shares to the Supporters Club. These shares are being sold by someone. Tom Shutes disagrees with this, and he had investors waiting in the background. Mr,Shutes was to be sorting the new ground out, and the Ice House was going to be transformed into a theatre. Dont shoot the messenger, you can read between the lines.

I tend to agree with this. A lot would probably hinge on his personal wealth. If he still has a few million stashed away, then maybe he is pig headed enough to forego the chance of getting his 2.5 million.

I honestly think the takeover is all ‘dead and buried’.

Whilst I don’t spend an enormous amount as an Exile, all iFollow, Clubshop purchases and occasional games will cease.

I will not line somebodies pockets that puts themselves first at every single opportunity. I will instead look to do my part in devaluing his £2.5 million to read £250.

Shutes left for personal reasons, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that looking at all the grief Fenty gets, he's decided it's not for him and walked away with his sanity intact,  and I for one don't blame him.

Sorry, I’ve heard this a few times now and it’s absolute shít.

Fenty took us to the brink of non-league in 08/9 and we were only saved because other teams had points deducted. The bloke was carried off the pitch aloft on fans’ shoulders and hailed as some kind of hero. By that point he’d loaded us with a debt of millions.

Through 6 years of non-league, fans kept turning up, increased season ticket sales and handed the clown £120k despite his continued failures and fúck-ups.

We even did the same this year and gave the little whopper another £100k in donations and uncollected refunds.

Only recently has there been anything resembling even the slightest opposition to the way he runs his little fiefdom. Despite him and his cronies treating us like shít on the bottom of his shoe for years.

The fans of this club are loyal and forgiving to a point that is incomprehensible to most. Fenty only gets any grief at all because he’s an appalling human being. If we were on the continent I reckon he’d need to employ someone to check under his car each morning, never mind checking for a scratch here & there.

Anyone coming in will be treated like the lord and saviour regardless of what happens, as Fenty has set the bar so low.

The money is his security. Whilst the club owes him the money he has control. When it comes to negotiating a takeover out comes the stumbling block, the money. In the end he just can't give up that control.
