Haven't you realised by now that The Fishy has to be informed of every decision made by the club and be privy to every discussion where the club is involved!
Doesn't stop you using it though, does it?

….and your point is? Unlike some posters I don't expect the club to keep me informed of every decision especially those of a sensitive nature. Following this thread, there are so many posters jumping to conclusions that you could start an exercise class. I personally think the original statement in the GET was very premature with very little " concrete substance " to validate it. The only fact that has surfaced is that there has been discussions with the club about a prospective buy out and those " negotiations " have been on going for about 12 months. Everything else is hearsay and speculation fuelled by a lot of posters on here.

We shouldn’t really know anything about the deal. This is a ltd company that’s being bought not an Orion 1.6 Ghia from big Dave down the pub.
How many miles on the clock and is it that metallic pinky colour Ford were doing back in the day? Getting quite rare them.

My post was quite pointless really. This is a forum about a football club which is likely to have various opinions, points of view and speculation.

I never believe what I read in a newspaper that's why I only buy one if there has been a lot of footy to read, I never believe anything the telegraph prints full stop.

Let’s face it, we’ve all been duped into believing that there was a possibility of a brighter future.
As it stands, we seem destined to remain under the Grey Cloud of JF!!

The thing is that Big Dave’ bought it coz the bloke who owned it got into trouble with HP payments and it might have been scrapped. Since then he’s run it at minimal maintenance costs and shelled out quite a few quid on sh1t mechanics that he thought could improve it but didn’t. It was even off the road for a few years. It’s improved slightly but is still a bit of a ‘shed’. However, Dave not only wants the ‘book’ price, but all the money he wasted on it as well. So unless you have a few quid and love this particular car it could be a bit of a problem. 😉.

| The wife was going away for a girly weekend. I jokingly remarked 'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football' 'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked She said 'Well you already know how to play football' |

gosh, that seems ludicrous, if its running a bit rough and not been subject to a fully catalogued restoration then he would be lucky to get scrap value. I think i will pass on this one.

I have spoken to John about the talks and how they are going. I am happy, as a supporter (and a very small shareholder), with the approach he is taking, but it's something that can't obviously be publicised until a conclusion is reached. Much as I would like to see a change of ownership it has to be to the right person and with the club's future assured for the short to medium term.
This is beyond farcical. Were any checks carried out before Fenty took charge, and what did they show? That he had enough money for the purchase I presume? A lot of good that did. What followed was the worst period in our history, six years in non-league with a trip to Guisley as the highlight, chronic lack of investment and PR disaster heaped upon PR disaster. Thank God for those checks to ensure the clubs future is assured in the "short to medium term".
