The Club and Hullberside are not exactly on great terms are they...not a coincidence to me that none of their reporters seemed to have any idea something might be happening.

Whoever fed the telegraph the story did not feed it to them, which makes it sound like it was from the club to me.

What's the betting this proposed takeover falls through last minute because Fenty and Marley etc demand to stay influential in the decision making at the club and Fenty and Marley then claim they pulled out because of the fans.

If this all goes through and Fenty ends up no longer being a major shareholder in the club, one would assume this means he won't have to opt out of key decisions regarding Grimsby Town's new stadium as Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, Skills and Housing.

That would be suicide surely. No one would believe that this proposal doesn’t give a sh1t about the fans. I’m used to being let down, but surely this has too much credit to it. !!

I suspect more likely the reality of relinquishing control is beginning to hit JF and he’s reversing engines so they feed this vague story.
