I don't mind who it is taking over. The day after Fenty leaves/club is taken over I'm buying a season ticket.

As shutes and Ross don't seem to be footie people and are more interested in the regeneration side ,personally I'd be surprised if they were going to throw stupid money at the playing budget. It may well be, given the 2 players already signed, plus the 3 good names that we are after, that Holley is given a decent budget.I suspect their main focus will be on the new ground and dragging the club into the 21st century.
Personally I hope they do throw some cash at the playing budget (which we have moaned about every season for years) Progressing the new stadium is one thing and it sounds like Shutes may have that as a priority but I don't want GTFC to have the best ground in the Conference

The 2 signings so far show that there is money to improve the budget.neither of those 2 come cheap and neither do the 3 other names that are being touted around. From what I've been told we were seriously close to landing devitt ,another player who'd have been well out of our league last season. But thanks for injecting your usual dose of negativity.

Just got back from holiday and waded through 15 pages of joyous news. Few things that stand out: - he sounds like a good guy with the town at heart - someone asked what's in it for him, well he's a property developer and there's a lot of waste land going spare - most important thing I've read is that the club will be at the heart of the community, and that's what has been missing for years. Players in schools and factories, using the passion of the fans to attract investment into the town and create jobs etc. etc.
Hope it happens very soon

The last sentence is unfair Forza, it is not negativity. Quite the opposite, we all know that results on the field today are more important than a new stadium tomorrow and that lift of spirits is what will make the takeover a success. Therefore the playing budget is the number one priority. Interesting thought about your first remark though - if those two signings have not come cheap and we almost got Devitt, who paid for it if the takeover hasn't yet gone through?

You might be right RRFC but he's always so bloody curmudgeonly. He can never see good or positivity in any situation.Just gets my goat sometimes. 're the budget in sure jolley will have been informed of plans and will have got the go ahead from the new bosses before doing anything

Radio Humberside reporting the club has told them offers have been received but no proof of funds or fit and proper persons tests have been passed yet.

The club’s latest response to Hullberside suggests that this is some way off.
