I have seen a quote in there from Fenty saying the usual "my door is always open for somebody to "join the board" who has the clout to do so.

If it turns out it is just somebody joining the board, whilst that is a positive, it would be a huge let down as opposed to a full takeover.

If you have seen that quote you should also have seen the below as well.

"EFL checks and due diligence
Again, just to reiterate, this proposed takeover is much further down the line than rumour.

As we understand it, relevant checks with the EFL have been undertaken - and passed - although there is more red tape to go through. Once again, we really welcome hearing what YOU have got to say on the development."

If it was just someone joining the board I doubt the telegraph would be getting so excited.

That would make sense if neither are footy fans.shame tho because we really do need some fresh thinking new ideas and a different direction.mind you ,you don't run a £30 million company by just spending money and not having some input as to how it is spent!

Why on earth would they do that?? They will want their own men running the show. It is not as if Fenty is doing a good job is it?

Whoever it is I just hope that we all and I mean all of us give John fenty the credit he deserves and nothing but respect for his commitment to our club..

Regardless if you like the bloke or not he has always stood up to be counted and is a town man through and through..

The man deserves our respect.

I've just made a rather interesting discovery. Don't know it's a weird coincidence but it's safe to say that Shutes and David ross are at least acquaintances from Gy regeneration project. You may remember that Ross's 'partner in crime ' at Carphone wArehouse was Charles Dunstone.Mr Dunstone in 2009 married Celia Gordon Shute .is this just a misspelling? It's a very unusual name, or have tom shutes and David ross had a long term friendship? Could ross be the second man and the man with the real spending power?
