Right decision. Seems the decision had been readied before the game judging by the swiftness of the statement.

All the best PH . I don’t think any fan of Town wont be grateful for your work. But it’s time to move on .

Feel sad it had to end this way, but probably putting both parties out of their misery with some dignity intact.  Thank you Paul and Chris and all the best for the future.

Well handled by the board too

I am going to celebrate tonight because it means we have a better chance of avoiding relegation, and it is the last link with Fenty gone

That says more about you than them.
I won’t be celebrating. The opposite of that. Im pi$$ed off at the result today and saddened about the inevitable dismissal of Hurst. An honest and decent man who’s given his best. It had to change, but it’s not something I can imagine feeling ‘happy’ about. Im sad for us as fans, as a club, and I’m sorry for Paul. He’ll be hurting tonight.

As somebody else alluded to, it has looked similar to that Woods period where we just kept losing games, even when we hadn't been bad on the day.

The failings at the end of the transfer window is what has done for us. The squad is a few players short in areas and having just three strikers in the squad (one of whom doesn't really look like a striker), is a real error.

EFL survival top priority
In a season that promised much
Difficult but correct decision
Let’s now make another correct one by appointing the right person to push us up the league

Darryl Clarke, anyone? My gut instinct is “yes”, but then again I was giddy when Holloway joined, so what do I know?

Either way, as much as I liked hurst and I am saddened, this is a new start. Hurst was taking us down. Again. His main achievements were in non league, and that’s not enough for us as a club. I’m now excited about the future, onwards and upwards.

It’s the right decision but I do find how they’ve done it very odd. “It’s not a snap decision” but they’ve waited to see how we did today before making the choice. Something else about the data saying the performances were OK. I think data needs utilising myself but I can’t think of a reliable metric that you can use to determine how good ‘performances’ are.

Huge appointment coming up but the timing is OK to allow them to bed in until January.
