Paul Hurst Sacked (MERGED)

I'm not sure it's something we should celebrate as such.

Show the guy some respect, it's not worked out so far this year but Paul achieved some great things for us.

He leaves with a thank you from me.

And from me. A very sad day but inevitable I guess. Those who are celebrating this...well it says far more about them than Paul Hurst and Chris Doig. Good luck to both of you.

Great news he and doig have gone a cloud has been lifted from over the club.

On the bright side this will mean you won't be fckin posting again until we the next manager has a run of bad results which will hopefuly be for some time... the longer the better!

Usually if we've sacked a manager I've felt a happy and a sense of bitter sweet feeling but with Paul even though it was the right decision I definitely don't feel happy infact it's a sad day for our club.

Just a shame he couldn't turn it around.

Totally the right decision but still no satisfaction in it. At the end of the game I went from shouting "Hurst out" (because that's what I feel was necessary) to clapping him when he came over (cos I really like and respect the guy, and respect him doing that).

Must have been a decision taken earlier as they have said they would not make the decision to sack straight after a game - I suspect either he had been told already he had to win or maybe just over a week ago he had to hit a certain points target in order to avoid the chop.

Totally the right decision, it was a dreadful interview Tuesday night were he tried to claim it was one way traffic, wed been so unlucky (despite being gifted one of the luckiest goals in nearly 40 years), refs were to blame (this is a massive tell something was wrong as he never makes much of a big deal about refs) etc. Relieved he's gone but also gutted is all I can say

Someone has said this is a relief.

That pretty well sums up my thoughts. I didn’t want them sacked, but now it’s happened I’m ok.

It’s obviously been thought about by the Ownership over last few weeks as the statement today has been pre- prepared. I would expect nothing less of this ownership. They don’t debate in public such things, but will have been looking behind the scenes for every possible eventuality, even success.

Whilst they will not have approached anyone to replace Paul, they will have a list of up to 10 managers they could approach.

If I am on the list, I am available all of next week for a chat…..

Well we can hope. He should use the time wisely to go and learn how sentences work, but doubtless he’ll be back with the usual cretins once we lose two on the trot.
