Hells bells. I reckon you lot are gonna pull this off! I'm thinking about taking part myself. I don't have a bike though. Maybe, I can borrow one from my chum, Trevadinhio. Seems a bit ambitious for a fat, ageing Vicar like me. I'm off on my hols the day after so I would have 2 weeks to recover in the Carribean. I think I'd need it! I'll give it some thought.

What about if we did 20+ miles each. We are both not in great shape, but gives us a reason to start training, and will show fattys can do their bit to mate...only a suggestion. I need a bike too arrrggghhh better find a job me thinks..does anyone have one of them going?

Thanks mate I am at Winterton tonight so come over and have a chat...I have too much free time so can try to sort some things out, get Compass and Radio Lincs involved.

Will any Lincoln fans be joining us make it a true charity event of good sportsmanship

I think I'll approach Look North. See if they'd cover it.

Right, I will attempt to pull together a website for this event this weekend. Already spoken to LH and Lincolnsmariner about this. I was going to see how things went before revealing it but fck it, i'll commit to doing my part in this way. I am anything but a professional website builder so it's going to be relatively basic but hopefully acceptable. i have a decent plan of what i'll include. This thread is getting a little long to be the sole information centre so hopefully this will help out.

Given this ambitious (from my point of view) idea, have we decided on a name for the event? I've heard 'Ride for Life' suggested and not heard a better one.

Will hopefully have something in time for very early next week.

We should ask the club to lend us a member of staff for it. One of the office staff maybe?
