The climbs are fairly gradual (apart from the one leading up to bully head crossroads) and you go DOWN the two biggest hills (into Binbrook and into Kirmond le Mire) Part of the route is a National Cycle Route so is considered very safe.

I have contacts with the local St Andrews Hospice so could contact them if needed. I've already had over £200.00 pledged from people I know/work with/family in memory of my wife even though I can't do the ride.

we have a police escort so it should be okish.

Hmmmm. Maybe your mate at Sky could have a word with the Soccer a.m. production team? Imagine the publicity if you could get one of the crew to get on their bike.

The least I can do. I'm gutted I can't do the ride but when I asked my G.P. it was 10 minutes before he could stop laughing. When he did it was to ask what hymns I wanted at my funeral service! Every penny that is collected towards dealing with the abomination that is cancer in all it's forms is money well spent! Hopefully buckets won't be big enough. You young lads are a credit to your generation and GTFC.
