Maybe we could get the Imps Trust involved?  Let me know if you want me to sort that.

Please, if thats possible.
Im in contact with the media and marketting manager at Lincoln who is providing alot of help and sorting various things for me.
Im going to try and get a signed club from both teams to raffle or auction off on ebay.

This was the one thing that was going to stop the whole thing so there isn't any going back now! I was thinking an easy way to do the route would be to have a car with a spare bike on top follow us and then every 10 or so miles have a checkpoint where somebody could have drinks ready and help us shake the cramp out and stuff. I was also thinking, its quite flat from caenby corner isn't it? Is there a way of getting to there through the binbrook way to Caenby corner?

The A15 (the road from Caenby Corner to Lincoln) is flat, straight but also one of the most dangerous roads in Britain. The amount of HGV traffic on there is unbelievable. I'd seriously look at the route Brigsley/Ashby Cum Fenby/ Ravendale/Binbrook/Tealby/Market Rasen and then joining the A46. . The climbs are fairly gradual (apart from the one leading up to bully head crossroads) and you go DOWN the two biggest hills (into Binbrook and into Kirmond le Mire) Part of the route is a National Cycle Route so is considered very safe.

I have contacts with the local St Andrews Hospice so could contact them if needed. I've already had over £200.00 pledged from people I know/work with/family in memory of my wife even though I can't do the ride.

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

The £200.00 is what people I have contacted are willing to contribute as sponsorship to the riders.

Being a film and tv student I have some vital contacts that could and would make this a success, notably a sky sports news reporter.

Hmmmm. Maybe your mate at Sky could have a word with the Soccer a.m. production team? Imagine the publicity if you could get one of the crew to get on their bike.

Oh, and bags I ride behind Hells Bells!

The least I can do. I'm gutted I can't do the ride but when I asked my G.P. it was 10 minutes before he could stop laughing. When he did it was to ask what hymns I wanted at my funeral service! Every penny that is collected towards dealing with the abomination that is cancer in all it's forms is money well spent! Hopefully buckets won't be big enough. You young lads are a credit to your generation and GTFC.
