Can't make any firm promises at present, will have to check with my doctor, having had 4 minor strokes in a week some years ago.  Nevertheless, I would love to take part in my own small way. I think that you are all to be commended for putting in the effort to raise cash for such an admirable cause. We all know someone who has sadly died suffering from cancer of some sort or another.

As I will be the tender age of 62 when the bike ride takes place, I better get checked out first.

As I live in Scotland, I will probably need a couple of hours start on you guys/gals. But seriously, what I would like to do is cycle from up here to Sincil Bank, and raise as much money as I can on the way through. If I am allowed to make the cycle ride from here, I,ll have words with the local press, and ask them to spread the word to all the local newspapers on my route, in order to raise as much money as possible on the way down. I will also talk to the local police and ask for them to appraise the local forces on my route to be aware of what is happening.

Question for lincolnsmariner. What time do you think you will all arrive? Would like to be there to meet you.

Maybe you guys should actually be doing it to raise funds for the Grimsby Town Supporters Trust?

The fact that this thread has got far more coverage than the one about the Trust on a GTFC Message Board is another thing...

No, it's a very worthy cause.  I'll happily sponsor someone and, if you need any assistance from GTST in some way, please let us know.

Good luck!!

Oh, and my company has a van if you need one.

Somehow, I don't think looking after Tarka is what Dave had in mind.
