Obamacare is a disaster with premiums going through the roof and Farage did not fool the gullible, its clear the globalist cabal want to dissolve national identity so bigger givernment is voted for, putting the power in the hands of an untouchable few and they can get cheaper labour across the globe under the pretense of fairly sharing the wealth. We're just sat waiting to say "told you so" when the results of the "change" becomes apparent. At the moment USA is the richest country in the world (by GDP), UK Is about 5th, from memory. If things are so terrible that we have to rip up the rulebook and start again then there is not much hope for anyone else.

I don't think it is a case of that Rob. Even though very rich as a nation, many people are on or below the poverty line and have had no or little help. Many jobs have disappeared overseas leaving them destitute. They voted for change I believe. Whether or not change will happen is anybody's guess

There are around seven billion people all competing for the same resources on a finite planet as around half that number 30 years ago. Added to that much of the developing world is catching up with the richest nations. It's inevitable that standards of living will drop and continue to drop for the richest nations, who have been living way beyond their means for decades, and have built up huge debt in that time. The US national debt is nearly 20 trillion, ours in nearly 2 trillion. The party will soon be over! Leaving institutions like the EU which have helped prop up our "wealth" will probably make things worse, but I think the long slide downwards is inevitable. But I agree with you that wealth should be distributed more evenly.

]I wonder what the poor and disenfranchised (who mainly voted for him) will do when he reneges on his promises and spends the next four years making himself and his Republican mates obscenely wealthy with tax cuts and business breaks? Nothing will change and nothing surprises me in politics. This is a nation that voted in a man who played co star to a chimp and then compounded that by voting for George Bush, a man so stupid it beggars belief.

Probably the same as we do when our politicians do exactly that.
Have a bit of a moan, pretend it would be worse if the other lot were in.  Then try and get on with our lives as best we can.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'
