I just think we need to add an experienced bully in mid field who can keep and pass the ball, all of our lads seem to do some of those things but not all of them.

That said after a decent rest I’m expecting our mid field to come back and be more effective, in the last few weeks we’ve seen glimpses of the difference I think we all know Hunt could make in creativity.

Clifton’s energy, Hunt’s creativity and a more natural passing version of Green would be great.

Really hope we can do better Verman, has not pulled up any trees since he wanted to move away from GTFC.
Was he any good the first time, apart from the Colchester game not really 10 goals in 62 games last time. Since he moved he played 83 games scoring 14 goals including 20 games last sason without scoring for Lincoln, not sure how many games he started, but based on those figures, we need a striker with a better record,

He is not a striker, he is a left winger.

Taking the last two posts. If you had Green holding midfield, Hunt & Clifton attacking midfield, vernham and khan on the left/right, then there would only be 1 forward player with any height

No alarms and no surprises.

Think one or two of those contracted players will have been told to look for another club.

One plus is that we won't have to see Mikey O'Neill play for a while. The lad is so far off ready for first team football, it's mind-boggling.

Nailed on to score against us in a couple of years, no doubt.

I seem to remember Hurst referring to issues regarding Jaz Goundry. Hope the lad is ok.

Nice Radiohead quote.

This might be controversial but I think Amos is worth keeping and, perhaps more divisively, aside from a couple of games, Emmanuel has been really quite poor, and given his pedigree and reputation, that’s put him at a real career crossroads.

Green and Holohan are both admirably whole-hearted players, but their passing is rather suspect.

Giving the ball away in midfield asks questions of your defence, and will inevitably cost you at times.

Not sure we can afford that if we want to challenge for promotion.

I get why Holohan’s passing is mentioned. For me that’s balanced by him being joint leading goal scorer getting nine from midfield. And some of those goals were fairly important (Luton, Notts County play off, Southampton). Fair enough if you can find someone who scores crucial goals, looks like a good leader and has better passing. Sounds like a modern Paul Groves and sounds like would cost a chunk.
