Barry Fry is saying Gillingham have bid for Johnson Clarke-Harris. I think anything he says has to be taken with a pinch of salt but if true that would be some signing for this level and another indicator of what we're up against.

I often bump into Fry in my local Lidl, will ask him

Jean Belehouan is my guess.

Interesting one. Obviously not worked at Tranmere but that can happen at some clubs with players, seems to have had some injuries also. Spent 7 years and 6 years respectively in Manchester United and Sheffield United youth set up until recently, so obviously has some potential.

He had a couple of very nasty head injuries on loan at Boston. He's left footed, athletic, young, been based local-ish in the recent past and had a good football upbringing.

On another note, Coventry have apparently tabled a £2m bid for Macauley Langstaff which might help spare our blushes a week on Saturday.

Possibly a centre half from Tranmere joining 👍

Signing anyone who cannot get into the Tranmere squad would be bordering on lunacy.
NB: Adkins has done sterling stuff there in a vey short time.

I remember people saying something similar when we signed an old guy from Halifax reserves a few years ago when they were at least one division below us.

To be fair, for every Paul Futcher, there are about 100 Matthew Heywoods.

Paul Futcher was a sublime centre back would of fitted perfectly into DA team.
Not many of his calibre knocking about know unfortunately hard to believe he died in 2016.

Not convinced we are going to see much activity at all this window!! Maybe the odd loan but nothing much more!!

Better not be the case , this is arguably one of the most important transfer windows in years for us.

We are so short of quality in certain areas and if we don't bring some better quality  in than what we have right now then it's a nail In a coffin that's gradually being lowered into the ground.

Let's be honest IF we make no changes in personnel with investment then we will only have ourselves to blame,  Artell needs a chance to bring a few in to at least give him a chance in being safe from relegation ASAP as I know a few don't think we can be relegated but this team has shown that's very possible.

I don't get this business of better quality players, they are not out there that are available, or will come here.

It's the same every transfer window.

Get Real.
