It's kind of laughable to see somebody defending the current Tory government using the race card when Braverman is such an appalling bigot who is dogwhistling pretty much every day. That's nothing to do with her skin colour of course. It's because she's an awful person.

Which I think is a bit dated as a term and is increasingly being moved away from. I think a few issues with it it's basically a term to describe people as non-white as if white is some accepted default. Secondly, it completely ignores the fact that black people will have different experiences from Asian people, and it oversimplifies their experience. There is racism black people face that Asian people may not in certain areas, and vice versa. For example in recruitment, if 10% of employees are Asian, and 90%, that isn't diverse and shouldn't be used to suggest that POC are effectively represented.

People don't think it's offensive to mistake black people for another. It absolutely is. It fits into that racist stereotype of people of a different race all looking the same, which is completely unacceptable. You should be recognised for you abilities and talents as a person. I hate that I have to spell that out.

When I see people deny it is offensive, I just read it that people feel that and defend that like it's acceptable. Bloody uncomfortable reading.

It's not in the least offensive, it is a case of mistaken identity as has been described. You are looking for something that isn't there. If any of our players receives or complains of any racist behaviour from anyone at the club or fans then it is unacceptable and they will face the consequences.

There has been countless occasions I can remember a white player being castigated by someone in the crowd only for someone to tell them they've got the wrong player.
