From the Tory supporting Times on Saturday 'Officials said they had yet to identify a site for customs checks to take place after admitting that the port of dover was not large enough to accommodate the the additional infrastructure '
So Johnson and Gove have been championing a system of checks that cannot be implemented. Who wouldve thought that this bunch of clowns would make up policy on the back of a fagg packet, without even considering the implications and practicalities? Were supposed to be the 6th biggest economy in the world and a world leader. Makes me want to weep at their sheer incompetence over this and Covid

I agree but the alternative was to vote for Corbyn and the vast majority could not do that.

All governments are less than perfect, but the important thing here is that the Government implemented the democratic decision to leave the EU. No doubt the trading arrangements and the variations thereof will be ironed out.

The really important thing is that the Leave campaign(s) lied (not just a little bit, but massively and deliberately) about the pros/cons of leaving the EU. They painted a picture of being able to have our cake and eat it. None of it was ever viable or realistic, and now the country is facing the stark reality of either a no-deal or at best a wafer thin deal.

In every campaign all sides stretch the truth. Voters take that into account when they cast their vote. The upholding of the democratic decision taken by the people to leave the EU is absolutely vital if we are to have any confidence in the democratic process.

https://firstdraftnews.org/lat.....-to-facebook-policy/As I’ve already mentioned, the “democratic process” does not start and end on Election Day every 5 years. How does the corruption in the awarding of PPE contracts, testing systems and the recent scandal involving Robert Jenrick tie in to your idea of “confidence in the democratic process”?

Indeed. Nothing to stop people campaigning to rejoin the EU if they can get the support to do so.

Playing games he is good at that.
Calling our PM a liar does not really mean much when you are talking about Boris or for that matter Trump.
What a world eh ?

Does that include breaking international law?
