Talking of records,Town fans were part of the highest attendance recorded at Old Trafford in a FA Cup semi final in 1939.

That's a very intriguing question.I would imagine that fans would have to travel by charabanc or train.I have heard tales that some actually cycled.I will have to go to the Library  and do a bit of research.

Your mixing it up with the Arsenal game in which many cycled from GY to Huddersfield. 63,210 attended at Leeds Rd. And for the Wolves game at Old Trafford the figure you are searching for is 76,962 which someone already uses as their sign in.

Yes I remember that day Icey,

My bum was so sore ( from the bike seat ) that I could not sit down for a week.  

How was yours ?  I heard you got a puncture on your way home.
