The ride along the wall would be more of a stick together ride not stringing out the riders a group of lads having a good ride and time, next spring would be best bet to go. sustrans have the details on their website I think so check it out if interested. It helps to have goals and targets to achieve in life keeps you inspired to train.

Jon mentioned yesterday that he`s starting to train for a marathon in October in respect of a Kidney Disease charity or something similar, typical after the work he put in to BTTB he now gives himself 5 weeks to prepare for a 26.2 mile run. jon if you are running put me down for 20 quid sponsorship. ticker.

Just double checked the distance of the HWC route and its 170 miles, so its a bit of an undertaking 50 miles a day and a lot of organising with food drink and accommodation? Have found a charity bike ride in sherwood forest and clumber park nottingham its 36 miles cross country or you can do loops of 6 miles until you have had enough in 6 hours. about 12 quid to enter and its on 2nd November 2008 start at 0900hrs.

Google, Robin Hood Bike Ride and read the site, I`m up for either 36 miler or the loops of 6 miles. The loops sound ok if some younger people fancy having a go, ie my 12 year old nephew might fancy a single loop if so I`d do that with him then a few more.
