Looking forward to hearing the stories of daring do and hilarious bits from you brave riders.Hopefully the pie and pint men made it (and I'm thinking of you Brazil and the Vicar)

we had a great time and has forthe pie and pint...when i came back from buying apie i thought the easier route would be stepping straight over the seats back to my mates.....gotover first two rows then just could not get leg up and over third row....fell ontop of a blond stuttering sory i cant get my leg over.....didnt drop the pie thou

do yourealise how popular you become when you turn up at a pub with a dozen thirsty cyclist and you are the only one with a wallet

Absolutely fantastic. Every single one of the riders has my unreserved admiration.

Obviously some of the riders are experienced cyclists but my heart went out to a the guys at the back. As I brought up the rear(no comments please) I witnessed some real harship at times and I thought that with well over 20 miles to go, we would have a least one who didnt make the full trip, however the determination to do so overpowered the pain and the voices saying to stop and get in the  mini bus!

I dont know the username of the shaven headed guy with his jeans and workboots on but whoever you are you have my upmost respect!

Finally, it was great to meet so many of you & although I would have liked to have known which riders use which usernames that is largely irrelevant.

Every single one of you are a credit to your families and to yourselves!

It wasnt a race but the Human Race was undoubtedly the winner!!!

I was the big fella on the racer Chris. Just want to say What a great day, thanks to all those who avoided hitting me as I lay on the ground at Ludborough on the first hill. Just realising now how many body parts I bruised ribs are so sore. But the day was inspirational. Now thinking of cycling the Hadrians Wall cycle route which is minor roads and off road from Cumbria to Newcastle just over 100 miles over 2/3 days with a night in Newcastle.

Who was the chap emigrating to Aus riding the claude butler hybrid? I`m thinking of getting similar hybrid bike to use for work around town. Sorry I forgot your name matey, was a bit dehydrated at the end brain got a bit fuddled.
