Honestly though, good idea. £5 each; maybe to the trust who need some dough.

is this cheque presentation the actual cheque - cos no way will that be sorted for next week!!

for one all the cheques will take 5 working days to clear
the cash received will have to be put into the bank
the abbey account is still awaiting finalisiation - all the info has to be resent to GLASGOW
all cheques need to be counter-signed by me and barralad - of which i can not see when due to work i'm gonna see him to do that.

the releasing of money can not happen untill it is all accounted for. i understand that the pledged amount may not be the actual total, people will always pull out of it and we have no way to badger people for it.

(BTW my dads mate is being asked about the blackburn shirt, ask chopper how much his mates willing to pay)

I have the FA gifts. Maybe good for the raffle on the GTST Golf Day - one is a golf ball/tee set. The other is a nice desk clock. Can't see how we'd do it other wise with it being so late after the event now.

It's difficult I know but you should keep faith with the F.A. I'm assuming they donated the items knowing that the money raised was going to the Cancer Charities?

Maybe an e-bay sale would be the answer?

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

ebay is proving poor to recollect funds, items that have been advertised and auctioned on there have gone for tiny prices.

whereas the auction at lincoln made its estimate.

it maybe a good idea LH, especially with the accounts still not finalised (bloody banking) so the collection of money can still come rolling in.

Jon / Leon/ Josh, I suggest you stick with the original intention of the FA gifts being for the BTTB charities, even if the money comes in later (I'm sure there will be other 'late' funds to deal with too). That way it keeps faith with everyone involved.

There was a comment earlier about difficulties getting all the sponsorship funds in for next week's deadline. I know I won't see some of my sponsors until the end of the month, so the only way will be for me to meet these amounts from my personal account (I trust the donors!). Also, given the continuing problems in setting up the bank account, presumably there will need to be alternative arrangements for holding the funds? - if so, I suggest that you take steps to be able to demonstrate transparency so it's all very clear and auditable later if need be. A bit of extra work now, perhaps, but it could save a load of hassle later!

It might be a good idea with the deadline fast approaching for another e-mail to all just clarifying / confirming some of the above arrangements, so everyone is clear - thanks!
