Tory Vermin

What a year it's been for Grant Shapps/Michael Green/Corinne Stockheath/Sebastian Fox. He has been home secretary, transport secretary, business secretary, energy secretary and now defence secretary. No wornder he has so many personas.

So, what do we think of their latest wheeze to win votes?

I for one am over the moon that they have scrapped the meat tax and had second thoughts on making us have seven bins.

Phew! Thank God for sensible policies.

I honestly don’t know where to start with it!
The false bravado, the incongruity, the toe curling desperation, the total lack of self awareness or the ability not to urine himself as he hears the bullshit and hypocrisy leave his own lips!
It leaves me totally befuddled and angry truth be told.

The Tories are now reaching the laughable stage, but there's no way of getting rid of them for months and months, so I fear what condition the country will be left in when they are finally turfed out.

Unfortunately, things won't improve much when they are gone because Starmer and Reeves are completely bloody useless. Reeves has set out her economic plan for Labour in the FT today. Imagine she's George Osborne wearing a dress and that's about it. Austerity, no investment, nothing which could possibly repair the damage caused by the Tory wreckers. The only plan is to reduce the national debt without any thought about what it actually is or what the consequences will be. And in any case, without investment, the only way the national debt will be reduced is if it is inflated away. I'd imagine that's what she's banking on, which is handy for the bankers, of which she used to be one. Not one of the venal bankers in the financial sector out to make lots of money. One of the clueless bankers at the BoE who are so wedded to neoliberal orthodoxy they somehow manage to ignore the way the economy has been hollowed out by it over the decades.

She's more inept than Starmer and he's too inept to see it. And yet they'll still be a (minor) improvement over the current bunch!

Which way next to get some votes? This lot are more slithery than an Eel.

£36 billion for network north transport projects - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/network-north I've just looked at them, for a start there are a load road projects in there - so not £36 billion for public transport. Whilst Hull will get faster links to Leeds and Manchester there is absolutely feck all for GY and Clee / Scunny.

I thought Grimsby was on the list of northern towns who were to receive about 8 quid over ten years to ‘turn them round’(bribe them to vote Tory again) or something…….?
