I assume you mean Joe Colbeck? He wasn't great, but we've had plenty worse since!

Neilson was class on his day, but never went far for one reason or another

Another that i liked a lot but similar to Neilson, never went on to be what many thought he could of been, was Dom Vose
Surprisingly he's only 27!

That’s the fella, he wasn’t the best but good at that time.

Yes . Quality lower league player.

Breadth of fresh air when I saw him. Of Dembele and Neilson though I think I still would go for Dembele .

It's hard to get good players to clubs in Jan. Anyone decent won't be allowed to leave their clubs and we can't pay a fee for anyone.

Think there will be a few loan signings to begin with and possibly a non contract player or two.

Since rumours are Padraig Amond has put in a transfer request at Newport, then I’m hoping we get Amond first.

Hurst being Hurst I'd expect anyone incoming will be pretty much unknow but will have a strong work ethic, be not too far off match fit and then we'll see.

Despite the market and the lower league game to a degree being all over the place good players are already playing and not looking for moves so you have to be selective on who you bring in.

It's fair to say that the "new" manager historically has got more right than wrong so I'd be confident he'll improve the quality of the squad.
