You can talk about getting a striker in with an average ratio of 1 in 3 or 1 in 3.5 etc.
But you have to remember, that is with the club they are at now.
As has been mentioned before, we could get Messi or Ronaldo in and without the service they would struggle.
So unfortunately it’s  not as simple as that. We need several new players that need to gel in a short period of time.  That makes PH’s task even harder I’m afraid.  But I do believe that he is far better choice to achieve that than Runaway or Slade etc   Let’s hope so. UTM

Stevenage can make as many signings as they like, it doesn't mean they'll enjoy success. How many players did Holloway sign in the summer??

I'd be happy with just two or three key signings this month. I don't care if I've never heard of them before. I trust Hurst in the transfer market far more than I do Holloway.

Aye, which is why I said Hurst and a few new players can hopefully get us going.

We are not that far off a side capable of winning games with everyone fit, properly managed and a few canny signings.

Of all the possible forwards that played for Hurst I have not seen Andy Cook mentioned.
He currently occupies the subs bench for Mansfield but does not always get used.
Could he get the goals we need as he has not done too bad since leaving?

I’m not sure the repeated chants about him being a paedo (I have no idea if he is) will make it a less likely transfer.

Wouldn't want him anywhere near us after the way he celebrated Mansfields last minute winner in front of the findus. He can go intercourse himself.

Cook has had weight issues most of his career and doesn’t work hard enough for a hurst striker.
