I think Jackson given service will be as good as any striker in this league, certainly looks like a finisher.
He needs a shop like player to pair up with though and a midfield that can create chances.
Sorry to say we need 2 centre mids, think that’s our real weak area.

We've been conditioned by years of penny pinching to accept average as good. A lot of our younger fans have never seen proper footballers. They would be gobsmacked to see a Whymark, Birtles, Futcher, Waters etc etc.

Right now I'd settle for a Coldicott, Livvo,  K Black

I know the obsession with ex players has to stop but right now we need known quantities, we can't afford to be taking gambles. One who I wouldn't be shocked to rock up would be Alex Rodman. He certainly knew how to beat a man and Hurst took him to Shrewsbury from Non league and also tried to take him to Ipswich but didn't have the funds. Isn't getting a game at Bristol Rovers at this point in time.

Alex Rodman is a good shout only been on the bench once all season unsure if he's had injury problems.

Hurst will want players he knows, trusts and has probably worked with. No time to be gambling on potential or throwing all our money at one player.

It is fun to guess signings, harmless fun.
Hard working centre midfielder, knows how Hurst works, proven at this level.
Is Craig Clay playing for Orient regularly?

Let's just  mention the entire Hurst squad for a laugh.

I'd certainly swap Rodman for another Bristol Rovers winger,.mentioning no names, who we already have here on loan......

I would take Alex Rodman, was a regular in League 1 for Shrewsbury and was a regular for Bristol Rovers, I would want to know the reasons why he has hasn't been seen this season, serious injury or just fell out of favour?

He does his defensive duties unlike Kyle Bennett and he is also effective with the ball going forward and was never afraid to take on his man, scored some decent goals also I remember.

Maybe, at 33, he isn't as mobile and dangerous as he used to be?

Remember PH said you have to keep in touch, just because he was a good player two years ago.......
Pity old runaway didn't use that principle but maybe that's why his phone was burning. Hundreds of washed up to$$ers thinking that old fart will give me a contract!!

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

They would improve our squad if fit.

Maybe a couple will come most managers like to sign players they have had before.
