Would agree, Howe, thought I detected in his after match interview the fact that after his first week here a bit of realism had hit him on hard bringing players in is going to be.

That said I was a little disappointed with his team selection today and feel, based on current players, Spokes  in midfield Wright out wide with Gibson and Jackson Jnr up front may have given us a lot more energy, some pace and maybe an opportunity to get a goal or two. Really disappointed to see PH retain Green up front and then play him on his own.

Let’s hope he can pull a few rabbits out the hat this week and get some new players in with Hanson and Scannell also available for selection we may see some hope for improvement.

that's what i meant about him relying on his experienced players and they let him down to a man.
i've said a couple of times, that its my main worry about hurst is that he doesn't seem to trust young players, or give them a chance to come up from our ranks. and yet i've thought spokes, for example, has looked really good, far more than rose

Maybe he has a score to settle and wants to see us relegated. Still can’t get over being 3-0 down and only one striker who can’t score on for us

I would certainly be giving Jackson, Gibson, Spokes and Max Wright a run of games some of the senior players don't look like they can get around the pitch to me.

i know it wouldn't have made any difference, but would it have hurt to have given jackson and gibson 20 minutes up front together? jackson must've had a bit of confidence after scoring midweek and now he's thinking, what do i have to do to get a game?

Exactly this, in fact I'd say what have you got to lose by starting them, Green has had enough goes at it now. Same for Spokes he did more in those two games over xmas than Rose has in about a dozen games. The senior pros in this squad are consistently letting us down.

We need new players but until we can get them in we need to shake it up drastically.
