I think we are going to have to pay over then odds to attract players. That is annoying, but that is the position Hollow words and Fenty have brought the club to.

Not just over the odds but a top of the range Jaguar, holiday home in the Seychelles, resident masseuer, PS4 and expense account at Othello's!!

I'm sure there are ways of attracting some better players to the cause. We don't need world beaters, just players who will fight for the cause, get us safe, then look at it again in the summer. Some loans maybe who don't have to hang around should we get relegated but will get a contract should we get safe.

fenty and his puppets  along with hollow brain have screwed us right in the crap.. hollowhead and manager dont belong in the same dictionary let alone page.. I cant think of any other manager that has signed and produced a squad so bad in football history

Couldn't agree more. There (or their) has to be a way to get us out of this mess.

Ain't that just the way. Interestingly, if that's the right word, our biggest real terms expenditure on wages since we dropped out of the third tier in 2003 was our relegation season in 2010 (equivalent to £3.1m today, factoring general inflation but not the growth in TV revenue versus then).

That in itself is pretty scandalous, but it was ultimately the product of not investing in the squad adequately in the first place and then scrambling (and failing) to avoid the non-league abyss. I seem to recall Fenty admitting himself, as part of some kind of bizarre defence of his own performance, that we had the third highest wage bill in the division that season.

And here we are again. You have to take your Town hat off and ask yourself, if you were a player of any merit, would you entrust your future to the burning train wreck that is GTFC at this moment in time? Genuine question; is there another EFL club that looks less desirable than us as a prospective employer right now?
