Unfortunately I have only just found this thread - I am less than 30 minutes from Pete.

God forbid but if ever there is a need to contact him / look for him / check on him or just chat to him in future can someone please get in touch with me - Grimrob of course can email me and if he wants it Pete can have my telephone number if there is a way to get it to him.

Only just got to see this thread although Pseudonym sent me a text when it all broke last night. Every single one of the Fishy-ites who were involved in those first few pages deserves the highest praise. I must confess to being choked by the concern shown for a fellow Mariner who most people have never met.

Nothing else to add. Just very humbling......

When I was first diagnosed with having a brain tumour I was not a member on here, I only joined after I came out of hospital but on another forum I was a regular on I got a similar thread of support, again mostly from people I didn't even know and it gave me an immense feeling of humbleness knowing that so many people were thinking about me at that time.

Even though it's now 3 years ago since I was first diagnosed I still sometimes go back to that forum when I'm feeling a bit down and read the thread which always makes me realise how many people hold me in their thoughts.

Maybe in time Pete will be able to read this thread back and realise how many people, most of whom he doesn't even know, really care for him.

WHS I (thank god) have never been through a situation like your self or Pete so I cannot comment on how it may feel but it's good that you share from your experience
