Does anyone know this fella because this sounds very disturbing.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

I really hope this is a joke but at the same time, especially in light of that depression thread, if it is a joke it is unforgivably sick.

If anyone can get hold of someone who has access to user IP addreses on here, the police could find a physical address from that. How long it would take, I don't know.

I was not thinking of myself when I posted this Icey as I will not be able to make anymore games,

BUT

A big crowd for a couple of games might just encourge some of the floating fans  to go again when they see town win a couple of home games by big scores.

Well we can hope , can't we ?

According to 192.com there are ten P Turners that live in Bury St Edmunds. Can anyone narrow this down by giving any idea of an address?

TBH the more people that ring the police the better. The more callers the more they will take the emergency seriously.

I know it might not be fashionable and it might attract criticism but it is the way I am, so I will pray (in the literal sense) that everything will turn out OK.

Anyone know how to get hold of Rob or Biccys.  Probably no use e-mailing as they would already be reading this by now if they were by their puters.

Anybody know who the person posting under the username 'cleethorpeskes' is? She only posted 3 times in '09 but it appears from them that she is Pete's granddaughter.

So anybody know any Kerry Turners (at a guess) who live in Cleethorpes??

I'm sure you did fine, they probably have a forum ban on there server, some rubbish like that.

This is a very worrying thread, although we all can be very nasty to one another on here at times, we are all very much under one flag and I would hate to think of any harm coming to any one of our fellow posters.  My thoughts and prayers are with you Gy Pete, really hope this is a prank that has gone very wrong.

Puts it all in perspective really. Whatever the disagreements on here about Town we are all supporters. Pete if you're reading this you are part of OUR group. I don't know you personally but we've shared the same good times and frustrations over the last 40 odd years with plenty of others on here. Come on - get in touch with someone. Thoughts are with you.

The number again for Rob/Biccys or anyone else with info is 01473 613500, quote case number 8

I hope tomorrow this has all been cleared up and Pete will be fine. This is very upsetting.

Thurston isn't a very big place and not far from B St. A   almost just a big housing estate. Sounds like the right one.

Right, I tried to log on to 192.com. Given wrawby's post I've searched for a Peter Turner, linked to a Brenda Turner, linked to a Bury St.edmuds area postcode. There is one but you have to register for the address. I have but I haven't had a receiving reply yet and it could take upto 20 minutes. Can anyone find out more from here?

That IP isn't accurate, I'm posting from a field in Hewitts Ave. I'm actually sat in a room off Weelsby Road.

Hope Pete is ok, I've usually agreed with his opinions.

Although this town has a bad reputation, many people look out for one another; Grimsby is a friendly town.

Those that have provided info, well done, you're a credit to the club and to the town - potentially saving the police a lot of time. Hopefully all your detective work wasn't needed.

Just reading this for first time, very disturbing.  I don't know Pete but I do read his posts and there's a person behind that screen-name.  Fingers crossed that post wasn't true.

Just put the Fishy on and although I do not know Pete I have seen his posts consistantly on here and enjoyed his points of view immensley.

Does anybody know where he lives or has a contact number for him because that post was a guy calling out for help.

Not unless some crack pot has got on his log in to cause a reaction, ie the Kevin Drinkall post the otjher week.

Right, lets get this stright.  I have no idea who laughing Mariner is (the guy that posted the Kevin Drinkall thread).  But there was a rumour going round the pub at the time about KD. I know this because unlike you Dave I was actually there.  He shouldn't have posted what he did, but he wasn't attention seeking, he posted what he had heard. He/she doesn't deserve the sh1t he is getting.

I'm hoping that Pete's post got the reaction I guess he was after and he now has the help he needs.  When your leg is broken everyone sees the damage and is sympathetic.  When your mind is broken, no-one sees and and no-one understands.

If you are still with us Pete FFS PM me.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

I have just now caught up on all this and like all of you am very concerned, surely Pete would have contacted us by now if this was to be some sort of hoax.
Well done to all of you for showing your heart warming concerns.

Have just read this and even though I'm not a regular poster, I am a regular reader. I've suffered with depression myself, so know what it's like, and am deeply concerned and would like to know if you are OK.

We're all thinking of you pete and pray that you are OK. Hopefully you will be back on to tell us it was just a moment of feeling down. Have enjoyed reading your post and would love to continue reading your posts!

I've read the rest of the thread now sounds like the West Sussex thing is a bit of a red herring but no harm done if I have reported it

What a deeply worrying post - I really hope he is going to be alright & has actually had a change of thought & has gone to get some help. Has anybody rang a hospital near to him incase he has admitted himself?

Done, it's a BT address so I told the police they should be able to ask BT and they will know exactly who had that address at the time of the post. They said they had tried loads of different addresses for him already, so I presume they are still looking for him.

True, but the ISP will be able to connect the address with the customer if they know the time.

Given the way Pete's posts went last night, he was on for quite some time, replied to what I wrote concerning free tickets and said at that stage he wouldn't ever be coming to Grimsby again etc,I feel sure he was at home. Home for Pete was his Suffolk village and Thurston fits the bill(I've been there,I had a friend who lived in a new housing estate on the outskirts of the village).

My mum suffers with depression and I would hope to God if she ever left a cry for help similar to Pete's that people would react exactly as they have on here and try and help rather than just say oh well she's had enough.

The reaction to this thread is incredible and makes me proud to be from Grimsby - something that doesn't happen often! I really hope Pete is OK, please post any news guys.

That concurs with the IP evidence. All his recent posts have come from the same IP adress - 81.156.170.251. BT should be able to tell the police in minutes where that is!

I'm sat at home praying that this situation is resolved shortly and the outcome is favourable for Pete and his family! However if the worst case scenario happens, every poster on the fishy has done their level best to help the fella in his darkest hour of need. Your reaction to this situation has been overwhelming and shows a great depth of positive humanity.

In light of the good news that Pete is safe, I find that very funny. I'm imagining a very clever horse with a broadband connection permanently on the William Hill website, checking out the latest odds.

Great news and a massive relief. Pete if you read this thread back when you're back on your feet, you'll see you're not alone and there are many people who care.

All the best mate (and I know from experience of my partner), depression is a nasty, horrible, wouldn't wish it on anyone, illness. Keep going fella

Great reaction from everyone on here by the way. stressful stuff and not an easy situation to deal with.

I agree entirely, to me that is what Grimsby is all about, lets hope that somebody will have news soon on how he is behaving.

My first ever post on here but I would just like to say well done to everyone, you all have all shown a great deal of kindness and consideration for not just another town fan but a fellow human, also nice to see Sussex police didn't mess around and did thier duty!
Anyway I don't know Pete but I am certain this will have touched him and made him realise that a heck of a lot of people do care!

Just read the thread and gone thorugh all sorts of emotions reading it.  Puts things into perspective but most of all it makes me realise that their are a hell of a lot of good decent people around who do care, even if they don't personally know you.  Take care mate and you always know you can talk on the fishy.  Great effort by all concerned. Could you just imagine without this new technology, ie computers, web sites, Pete who is obviously not him self echowed his feelings posted on this site, and people who know him more than I do picked up his unusual comments and acted and the response has been amazing.

A few years back people with depression and I am not sayiing that Pete has got depression because we do not know his problem, did not have a computer to echo there thoughts and well being.
To me this was an instance where modern technology was proving how important  that it really is.

I hope when Pete is getting better that he starts posting again because I feel he has got a lot to offer this site.

Do we know if Pete was already in hospital or admitted following the actions of folk on the fishy? If he's been admitted following the interventions of folk on here then what a fantastic response in Petes darkest hours and cry for help. How long before the journos latch on?

to be fair, there are a few folk that have been admitted to hospital following the actions of folk on the fishy (you know who you are fella's)

I can now make light hearted comments knowing that Pete is in good care.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Good news that pete is ok now, I do however think this thread should be deleted as a lot of personal info has been shared about him, albeit for the right reasons...

Having just read through this what started out as a rather disturbing thread has (hopefully) turned into to a heartwarming one showing that although most people on here don't know each other from Adam everyone can pull together in the same direction at times like this.

Chin up Pete, hope to see you back posting soon.

The police said he is fine and well so hopefully won't be long before he's out and about again. I'm not sure they would've said that if it was owt serious.

Lets all hope Pete is OK, depression has touched our family with devastating effect which sadly led to us losing our Dad and has more than likely had some baring on all of us in some kind of way.

Pete, remember your not on your own mate, more importantly please keep posting on the Fishy, you will make a lot of people happy

On a lighter note, dosen't help following the Mariners!!

That may well be the case but I think the fact someone may or may not have a medical condition is also personal, I know I wouldn't particuarly want it posted in a thread about myself... So my stance still remains it should be removed, there is no benefit to it being on here now and if you feel there is then i'm pretty surprised to be honest...

Just saw this thread! What drama to read through. Amazed and proud of seeing people care so much for a fellow fan and poster on The Fishy!
Pete - Glad you are OK! Hope to see you posting here very soon.
This confirms for me that I did the right choice when I chose to be a Mariners fan all those years ago. Born in Norway - I could have picked any other team in the League system, but this thread really confirms for me that followers of Grimsby Town, and the people posting on this site, are among the greatest people on earth. Nothing more - nothing less!

Get well soon, Pete!

Thats all well and good Wellsy and he is a top bloke for doing it, however I don't think this was him posting to highlight the dangers, it looks like he was posting when he was at a real low point and perhaps maybe when he is better the last thing he would want is to be reminded of it or see the amount of views and posts there has been made about it... I mean can you really give one good reason why it should be on here now...???

To be honest I don't think it matters that much.   I remember (and I wish I had remembered it early on last night) Pete writing on a thread about depression on here a year or two back and saying he had it. At the time he was offering advice on how to stave it off.

Hopefully he will be back with his cheerfull optimism again,I look forward to it.

Oh and if you are reading this Pete you were definately wrong, your village women weren't all ugly. Until last night I didn't know which village you lived in but I met a lady from said village quite the most attractive I've met for some time with flashing blue eyes and a big,ah perhaps we didn't ought to go there.

Been out all morning with my lad at his JFC game but came on here as soon as I could to find an update on Pete. Glad to see that he was located and hope all is well with him and his family.

Well done all those that got involved at the start and made contact with the police. Good also to see that the police took you seriously.

I'm also of the opinion this thread should be removed.  Just thinking from Pete's perspective he was obviously at a real low point when he posted that message last night, seeing this thread will probably bring back bad memories of the awful state of mind he must have been in.  And like Voice of Reason pointed out, this is a very personal issue.  Best dealt with by his closest family and friends, not to take anything away from the amazing shows of concern for his wellbeing in this thread.

Just my thoughts.

I had a sense of deep foreboding after reading Pete's post.  I had to read each post in order.  I could not go to the end.   Every poster should be proud of their concerns and actions.  Get the right help Pete that you need to recover.

Reading through the thread (and one linked thread) showed how depression had impacted on so many posters - or their family/partners.  I suspect that a lot of the posters are fairly young. My varied experiences with managing with depression over 40 years might give some encouragement.   I hope so.  We need some positives.  (Some posters might not be interested in the following comments).

I was diagnosed with a serious depressive illness soon after joining the RAF.  I was only a teenager.  (Surprised nobody linked it to supporting Town). I was fortunate that the RAF had very good medical services.  I was correctly diagnosed with the right specific illness and provided with the right, tailored medication.   Both these aspects are critical to long-term good health.  Now days they can experiment with better, different drugs etc.   I am still taking exactly the same medication 40 years later.

I was treated as an in-patient twice in my 15 years RAF Service.  The second time when I came off the medication for a year and it did not work without it.  My RAF career was not affected bar being restricted to some overseas postings and I could not sign on for 22 years and a full pension.

Many world leaders and famous people in history have suffered from depression. Churchill and Roosevelt being 2. It is a common illness that affects about 1 person in 4 during their life, or 1 family in 4.  Often, little is understood about the causes, treatment and coping with it.  At least a basic understanding is useful in family relationships.

There is still a stigma attached to mental illness.  This is diminishing with more awareness and more people being treated for depression etc. It is important to recognise that you need treatment and to get the right medication (if needed) for you. Do not be fobbed off. There is reactive depression (say following a death in the family) or  and clinical depression.  The latter is often genetic.

Anybody who has NOT suffered from depression, no matter how well meaning, cannot truly understand just how bad it is at the "low" points. Depression is a life-threatening illness, and this should be recognised by the sufferer and families. An unexpected downside is that insurers will add an additional premium to pay. The risks are greater to the insurers. Additional costs to pay are managable.   Driving a car and cancer can also be life-threatening illnesses.  These are realities.  All the more reason to seek expert help soonest. Sometimes in life we all need help.

Since leaving the RAF (25 years ago) I have started at the bottom of a national company and worked my way up to be a senior manager.  I have been married 28 years and had 2 lovely daughters.  I have also represented England at athletics.    Managing depression is always there.   Sometimes it has been hard on my wife and children.  The point is though that if you are determined enough, coping with long-term clinical depression should not stop anyone from doing what they want to achieve in life.  We all have our cross to bear. Try to be positive.

"We choose to do things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard".

I will be thinking of you Pete. I can guess what you have gone through or are going through.  You have a lot of  friends on here looking out for you - the majority do not even know you.  UTM.

I'm in two minds about removing this thread on the one side I can see the Doc''s & VOR's point of view about this being a very private thing but on the other hand it could be a great help to someone who (God forbid) may find themselves in the same situation, at least they will know that people do care.

Also another thought I had (and this may bring cries of privacy issues etc) but maybe Rob or Biccy's could keep a list of contact numbers for the forum members, participation of course at members discretion

I really don't think it's our decision whether this will help him or not, the majority of us don't even know him or what he's going through.  That's effectively someone's suicide note still sitting there.  That just doesn't sit right with me.

very good post ,also with reference to your comment on young people and depression it is a sad fact that the group that suffers most with depression is the young.Sadly this is reflected as well in suicide statistics which are also highest in this age group.Iam glad though you are managing the depression and have a good loving  family.Long may it continue

Very pleased that Pete is with us and seemingly, ok.

I received a text last night regarding this and am pleased that so  many have shown compassion to a fellow Mariner, who many of you will never have met.

Lets hope Pete gets the help he needs and soon feels positive enough to visit BP again.

If Pete asks me to remove all or parts of the thread I will do. Personally I think it's a testament to what a forum like the Fishy can achieve. Many of our small online community may not know one another personally but we all share a common interest and look after one another, even away from games. Collectively I feel we did achieved something last night and this morning - it was a group thing, several inidividuals contributed different parts of the jigsaw. It shows the power of the Internet - it's often criticised and received bad press for its dark side, but I'd like it to stay up as a testimony to the Fishy's  contributors. But I respect Pete may feel differently as he's at the centre of it. Everyone else is peripheral.

Well put Rob, agreed, this will be Petes decision, I have read and understood VORs and Docs perspective but also some including myself have expressed our own experiences to hopefully help Pete in his way forward.

Echo those sentiments Rob...just pleased that Pete seems to be safe and sound.

And whilst this in the scheme of things might just be a "small on line community", everyone has shown that at the centre of it there is one big (black & white) heart!

Read the thread first thing this morning and found it disturbing, got a call on my travels to say Pete was safe which was a relief. Superb effort from one and all to accomplish this and as for Pete my old folks have a sign in their house which reads ' To a friends house the road is never long' For you mate many friends are only click away.

Well said. I think that we've always known that we are a good set of people and yes whilst we bicker sometimes (like any family does), deep down we all pull together when necessary. I can see why GrimRob wants to keep this thread here but to me it is still a personal thing - a cry for help -and should be removed. I don't know whether it can be done but perhaps it would be possible to remove it, save it and repost it all if Pete gives his consent.

Just as an afterthought, no man is an island. I've never suffered depression but 15 years ago I did suffer a nervous breakdown. Now when you think you are going mad like I did that is scary enough but to have the black dog as Churchill called it must be far scarier. I know it is easier to say than to do but if you do feel like that please talk to someone, anyone. If you cannot face talking to a family member or friend, there is always the Samaritans, it is what they are there for.

It took me a long time to talk to someone but when I did I knew I'd taken the first step. Here's hoping for a full recovery Pete.

Just read this thread and I've got to say you guys have been absolutely awesome.

Hope Pete is feeling OK.

Depression is horrible and I don't believe you guys could have handled this any better.

Well done, makes me very proud to be a Town supporter and a member of the Fishy community.

That would be the best thing to do... Obvioously its not upto me but I seriously think it can only make the situation worse by floating about on here, I wish the people who run this site would put themselves in the position of Pete or even his family/close friend (who may not even know what has gone on), how would you feel about coming on here to see this???

The reasons for keeping it so far is nothing more than to show how people of the fishy come together in a time of need and thats great, the response from some on here was quality but to keep it up just to show that despite the potential excrement it could cause is pretty selfish in my opinion...

I don't want to sound like a mammary or anything and it doesn't affect me either way really but I just think it would be better for those closely related to pete... If people on here want to show how close they are in a time of need I think the best idea would just be for a sticky where people can post messages wishing him well...

One last plea (I promise).

I have also suffered depression along with friends and family, that's why I'm asking it to be removed.  Pete needs help for sure and I'm sure he'll appreciate the positive words from the Fishy folk.  However I don't think it should be via a thread where he can read back through his cry for help, the subsequent efforts to find him and then his illness being discussed by people he doesn't know.  He did not really start this topic, his mind was elsewhere when he typed that original post.  I suggest people offer their words of encouragement via PM instead of an open forum because Pete did not raise such a personal topic for discussion.  The thread served it's function, a cry for help was heard and acted on.  Anything else should be private unless Pete wishes to raise the subject publicly.

I would say "trust me, I'm a doctor" but alas I'm just an imbecile.

Just caught up and read all this thread.
All I can say is  massive RESPECT to everyone for their humanity and endevour to resolve this issue. The lengths you went to were incredible.
On the delete/keep the thread I would say leave it on. If Pete wishes to read it he will if he doesnt then he wont.
I am not from Grimsby and know no-one from the Town but I travel to many home and away games and have now for the past 30 years. I feel now though for the first time if ever I am visiting the Town for a match and come into difficulties I have people I can now turn to for help.
Others may have bad days and they can simply turn to this thread and realise there are people out there who will help and have a sympathetic ear.

Well done again to you all.

I say keep the thread.

When I was first diagnosed with having a brain tumour I was not a member on here, I only joined after I came out of hospital but on another forum I was a regular on I got a similar thread of support, again mostly from people I didn't even know and it gave me an immense feeling of humbleness knowing that so many people were thinking about me at that time.

Even though it's now 3 years ago since I was first diagnosed I still sometimes go back to that forum when I'm feeling a bit down and read the thread which always makes me realise how many people hold me in their thoughts.

Maybe in time Pete will be able to read this thread back and realise how many people, most of whom he doesn't even know, really care for him.

Unfortunately I have only just found this thread - I am less than 30 minutes from Pete.

God forbid but if ever there is a need to contact him / look for him / check on him or just chat to him in future can someone please get in touch with me - Grimrob of course can email me and if he wants it Pete can have my telephone number if there is a way to get it to him.

Can someone let me know if I can help at all - a bit late I know but...

Only just got to see this thread although Pseudonym sent me a text when it all broke last night. Every single one of the Fishy-ites who were involved in those first few pages deserves the highest praise. I must confess to being choked by the concern shown for a fellow Mariner who most people have never met.

Nothing else to add. Just very humbling......

WHS I (thank god) have never been through a situation like your self or Pete so I cannot comment on how it may feel but it's good that you share from your experience

Have just come across this thread also. A terrific "WELL DONE" to all concerned, and here's hoping that Peter makes a full recovery from whatever it is that's happened to him. I miss your input on the word association game Peter, hurry up back.

What a truly inspirational thread, well done to all those involved.

Pete, I really hope you can take some positives from this and that you will realize that although we don't know each other,
we share the same cyber friends who all care for one another in their own way.

Good luck Pete, stay safe buddy. Regards Tiny.

I'm a fairly inconsistent (perhaps this is why I love Town) poster on here; reading a lot more than I comment upon - but nothing has been quite like this thread. I came to it this afternoon so, thankfully - by the time I'd read through all, as it stood, 20 pages - I was left feeling relieved and in equal measure, somewhat inspired by the amount we people can care about each other despite only being the merest cyber acquaintances.

Truly great effort by all concerned and I'm sure it can only resonate positively with pete and the future.

All the best with your recovery sir; you are a part of what makes 'the fishy' what it is.

I don't post on here often and haven't been on for a while (most recently for a pretty obvious reason), but just wanted to add my congratulations to all of those involved in the hunt for Pete. Regardless of the significance of this search to Pete actually being found and getting to hospital, the display of compassion, concern and togetherness is a tribute to you all. I hope that Pete, whenever he gets to read this thread, draws some strength from the fact that so many people, several of whom wouldn't have known him very well, cared enough as to actually do something to try and help him. A testiment, perhaps, that even in these supposedly rotten and self-serving times, there is still a sense of community to be found (something we here in Queensland are discovering) when it is needed most.

My wife has experienced anxiety and depression and has a family history blighted by mental illness. It is a terrifying and draining condition that people without a connection to, simply cannot understand. At my little shop we actively promote an Australian initiative, Beyond Blue, that seeks to promote awareness and understanding of depression. I am astounded and encouraged by the number of people who notice our display and openly discuss their own issues. Only through openness and frankness on the behalf of people with mental illness and their families, will the lingering stigma attached to mental health finally be removed.

Good luck Pete. I know nothing of you other than your love for Grimsby Town, but I wish you courage in facing up to whatever comes your way in the future.

And again, well done boys and girls. You should all be proud of yourselves.

There's a crooked street in Grimsby Town
It's a well worn path I've travelled down
Now there's ruin in my name, I wish i'd never got off the train
And I wish I'd listened to the words you said....
...Don't go down to Freeman Street
Don't go down to Freeman Street
You'll be lost and never found
You can never turn around
Don't go down to Freeman Street

Everyone did a good job here and goes to show we can all pull together when needs be. I hope Pete comes out of this stronger, and can enjoy seeing a town playoff win

I can't believe none of you thought to look at the forums very handy map feature though!

Wow you guys are absolutely brilliant and a credit to our Town and club.
I hope Pete gets the help and support he needs and the comments and concern from everyone on here help him.
Only a couple of weeks ago, a Grimsby lad, a friend of mine and GTFC fan sadly took his own life.
I dont know Pete but can appreciate how tough it is.
I myself struggle with depression and bad health mainly I suppose after loosing both my legs and suffering other severe injuries after getting knocked of my motorbike many years ago.
I dont remember much about the weeks and months after the accident but my dad tells me it happened on a Thursday and on the Saturday I asked if I could go watch Town play and then go back to the hospital after the game - I was in intensive care on a life support machine at the time!
Once again lads well done.
Feeling very proud of you all today

Hopefully some of the tips I gave Biccy's went some way to helping Pete.  I couldn't believe what I was reading and it gave me a sickening feeling that Pete found himself at sea, so to speak.  Town fans always stick together and there has been many examples of this over the last year especially when the odds are stacked against us.

I've always respected Pete's comments and I hope that the support he has recieved from fellow Mariners helps him in some way find his way back from stormy waters.  My thoughts are with you Pete and your family in these tough times, fight on mate, you've got a lot of people behind you.

Perhaps we've all learnt something from this.  I know I have. When Pete's first post appeared I just assumed that he had some form of illness that was incurable and that he knew his time had come. I had forgotten him telling us about his depression it was only when some of the others began to rally round that I relised that we could do something though what I hadn't a clue particularly as Pete had logged off. It was only when the younger energetic ones among us who are far more competant with computers started working it through that it became clear that something positive could be done.
I have never met Pete but as we are of an age he became a mate on here as we both had similar memories and experiances and I shall always remember the lengths some folks went to to help him

I had forgotten him telling us about his depression it was only when some of the others began to rally round that I relised that we could do something though what I hadn't a clue particularly as Pete had logged off. It was only when the younger energetic ones among us who are far more competant with computers started working it through that it became clear that something positive could be done.
I have never met Pete but as we are of an age he became a mate on here as we both had similar memories and experiances and I shall always remember the lengths some folks went to to help him
Hope he is well soon. I will meet him in the Imp and bring him round to the Main Stand to team up with you if you like. If anyone else would like to meet him, I am sure he would be delighted although a trifle embarrassed.

So the first post disturbed you but not enough to take 10 minutes to read what transpired...?
If only that's what we'd all done that night....
CBA to do anything, someone else will do it for me.....

I wasn't reading on the night and obviously if I had I wouldn't of come with that response. I read the 1st few pages and its the same posts from people just asking if anybody knows him. I was just wondering if the bloke was ok and what had actually happpened.

Glad to see he's still here and posting, all the best Grimsby Pete.

Also apologies if my post came across heartless and unsympathetic, it wasn't intended that way.
