i've been keeping this to myself since may, only a few people like Alvingham Mariner and Wrawbz know this, and i DON'T want to repeat what i'm about to say...

because they found 3 tumours in my lungs and 2 around my stomach, it's pretty much terminal cancer now. now i could have chemo to make it easier for me, but i don't want that. so i intend to live my life for aslong as i can do now, i'm not sure how long i've got left to live and i don't plan to find out any time soon neither...

cheers for all the support in the last 6 months guys, it's been much appreciated...

Mate, I want to write something but I just don't know what to say.

Can't they do anything? Have the doctors told you there's a chance you can still beat it?
Won't the chemo give you a better chance?

Tears in my eyes mate, you're amazingly brave.

nope, they can't cure me, they can't get rid of it...
i don't want chemo partly for my own selfish reasons, mainly being that i don't want to be hooked up to a drip stand for an hour or so a day for 5 days on the bounce before taking 2 weeks off it, and lastly because i want to be able to go to as many home games as possible...

Keep fighting it Matt.

I actually got to know a 23 year old girl from Nottingham through a brain tumour support group I joined after my op. 2 years ago the doctors told her she would be lucky to survive more than 6 months as she has a Grade 4 (the worst) cancerous brain tumour. She's still going strong now mate and actually had a baby a couple of months ago and says she still feels fine, so the doctors aint always right mate.
