When I was 15  i played Sunday league against Tommy. Briggs .   He was Hard as nails.

Also  played against Duncan McKenzie before he went on to greater things
in Sunday league. Sunday league.

Played in town juniors with Harry Wainman. He was unbeatable.

Played in same side with Tom Daley good keeper.
Bernard Fleming played a few games when I was at Nalgo.

Also played against GRIMSBY Police who had several ex pro's s. In their side but can not remember who.


                             Over 36 years living in Suffolk but always a mariner.

I played futsal with Danny North, he scored an absolute piledriver from kick off.
I also played at Blundell Park and non other than sir Alan Buckley was marking me on the wing

Played with John McDermott, Gary Croft, Gary Childs, Matthew Bloomer Graham Rodger and to a lesser extent Tom Charlesworth who some will remember came on a substitute once for the Mariners back in the conference days.

Used to play footie with Chris hargreaves and Chris grocock at Haverstoe park.

But, was lucky enough to play cricket with the whole squad at the start of the 93/94 season. Also used to play cricket with mark lever a good bit.

Also had a knockabout with a balloon with don goodman before the play off final at Cardiff!
