So you think it's acceptable for fans who've waited their turn with stubs/trust memberships etc to miss out at the expense of people who've essentially jumped the que entirely because they happen to know a season ticket holder?

I don't own a season ticket and fully understand that those who do should be first in line for tickets, but how on earth does that extend to three other people when demand is clearly so large?

Before a single ticket was sold we ALL knew STH had the option to buy 4 and with 3k STH you were taking hell of a risk if you never purchased one early doors. Then after seeing 1200 sold day one I would suggest anyone who never had a ticket by that point and really wanted one would have done something about it.The selling of 4 tickets to STH is the real issue and those complaining about that DO have a valid point because potentially the STH may have wanted 12k so the figure of 4 ea should have been a no-no from the off.I still think each and every GTFC fan who genuinely wants to watch this game will get in because surely now the vast majority have got tickets and the rest will have when the extras are sent.

I think the timing did not help for some with Christmas coming up and many people getting paid on Wednesday some STH possibly did not have the money to fork out Mon/Tue, who knows? All I know is that the club allowing 4 to each STH has once again stuck it's head above the trench to be shot at................I would love to know which PR genius made that decision.

Most Town fans I know were saying from the minute Nathan Arnold`s goal went in we would take 4-5k to Donny so the demand was always there and should not have surprised anybody. The 4 tickets to STH is strange I agree but the fact they have sold out suggests the Club will be happy with their marketing strategy albeit at the expense of a good few regular fans. The fallout will be half the away end yelling abuse at our own players and getting their names wrong.

I would have gotten you and your lad one no problem and you know that (though that`s not really your issue reading the above).
The Season ticket holders are by and large the loyal customers they make up over 60% of the average home gates.
As for your belly aching you should stay out of ale houses like the one in Derby
Seriously though mate if you feel that strongly call a meeting with Kristine Green and see if she can address your concerns through the proper channels.
To clarify games like this are the one perk having a Season ticket affords you.Any STH living locally who says they have missed out on a ticket to Donny are either full of excrement or very badly organised.

What justification is there for a STH to be allowed 3 extra tickets? One maybe to a relative, friend etc.. who goes to a few games a season. I understand that as we have 3 season tickets 2 for me and my dad who go each week and one split between my grown up children when their shifts work out, usually H&A they go to about 20 - 25 games per season. BTW worth noting that a trip to BP is a 300 mile round trip for us so a 2 for 1 season ticket then makes sense.

Some on here have said the club have done nothing wrong as they have sold all the allocation???? Can't agree with that if it is at the cost of p1ssing off season ticket holders or those who did not have the cash in one go.

Even more hypocritical is if you don't have a season ticket and try and get a ticket whilst the restrictions are in place you get the same stock answer from the colleagues in the ticket office "season ticket holders get priority", well do they?

Apologies if I have missed it as I have not read every post but the Trust appear pretty quiet about this matter, has anyone from the Trust made a comment or asked the club to justify their decision?

People will use anything to rant about the club.

i suppose all of you who haven't managed to get a ticket have actually tried, rather sit and moan on here?

i agree that selling 4x ST is maybe too many, however i had a season ticket last season with my little brother, but would go to away games with 2-3 extra's

i have never understood why people choose to abuse the club they claim to love?

Yeah, you're spot on Jarmo. When I'm not attending the 90% of home games or 30% of away games I sit on my @rse wondering what I can use next to abuse the club I claim to love. I absolutely love it when things go wrong, it's just what I have been waiting for.  You have no idea how much I want MB to fail, just so I can say the John Fenty did it on the cheap. I have had so much mileage out of the delay of the new stadium it's brilliant. With a bit of luck we'll sell Bogle for far less then we could have got and I can go to town on that one as well. Only Grimsby supporters eh.  Only on the fishy !!!

Or just maybe,  As a loyal supporter who is struggling to get a ticket for a match I would really like to go to I am a bit miffed at the way GTFC have sold the tickets.  They have deviated from the normal procedure on this one and I feel I have a right to an opinion.  If you think that most of the comments are 'abuse' you must have lead a very sheltered life.  As One Micky Lyons said, he would have got me a ticket, so would a few others.  I never made the effort as I didn't think it would be required.  However I will be making the effort to queue early if the tickets make it to those with a stub for Carlisle.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

They would have sold out anyway regardless, but being able to obtain a ticket because you know someone with a season ticket allows people to obtain tickets who may not have been to watch Town for years, over those that are patiently waiting for the general sale to start because they don't have a season ticket or don't know anyone with one.

We can argue all day about the rights and wrongs and accuse people of laziness because they haven't got themselves sorted, but the truth of the matter is that giving season ticket holders the opportunity to buy four is just wrong and has caused bad feeling toward the club. They got this badly wrong, no question and it can't be justified by merely saying 'they have sold them all, so they have done their job'.

This situation has just rendered it possible for all those 'big game fans' to come out of the woodwork and relive the glory days of their youth. I doubt a lot of them will be there for a midweek game against someone like Morecambe.

Good post, like it.

I'll tell you a funny story, when we where in the championship I did not have a season ticket and we had a stupid rule in place for some game or another can't remember who and it really p1ssed me. So I wrote to The Telegraph (The Grimsby one not the one in Fleet Street) and they printed my letter, a couple of days later they printed a letter from Steve Wraith inviting me to contact him and he would help me out. I called him and he broke the rule and sold me a ticket.......................which would suggest this is not a new problem!

Extra 900 on sale Monday.

I think myself aswell as other have got no issue with season ticket holders getting first picks but the 4 to 1 ratio was just too many!

I'm a ST holder and am grateful for the 4:1 ratio of buying tickets.

To me it just seems a decent perk of having a ST that I can go to this game with a my Dad and a few mates.

If it was 1 for 1 I would've just been going with my Dad and my mates would've either been sat elsewhere or not got tickets. These friends of mine are Town fans, not just people going for a day out.
