I couldn't believe this very popular and pointless thread had dropped down to page 2.  It needs some re-energising!!

Yes very disappointing - only 62,000 views and over 400 replies to my original moan!
Should get a tickets sold figure tomorrow, so at least this should confirm that all of us there on Sunday will be at the biggest ever 'non-league' football match.

I am pretty sure the old FA Amatuer cup finals attracted a full house at Wembley back in the 50's

Disappointing to know we've been outsold by Bristol 3 times over But I guess for those of us that do make the trip, the victory will be even sweeter

13000 now sold according to fenty, he goes on to say although dissappinted with the numbers he understands the reasons including fans not wanting to pay for the tickets with booking fees, goes on to say tickets are available to buy on the day from Wembley and he's hopefull more town fans will go down and take up this option.

We will both have around 4 times our average home attendance.

Guessing Bristol average 6500 and us about 3500???

Given cost, travel issues, early kick off, relative affluence and perennial disappointment, I think 13,000 is a good effort. I did expect more, but when you look at it, not so bad really.

Being favourites has never suited us. Being underdogs is the Town way.

I thought there would be nearer 20,000 Mariners there but it's not a cheap trip and tough times for many so completely understandable. I'd imagine there would be a few more if we hadn't had the disappointment of the Trophy defeat there a couple of years back.

I think it's quite telling that on the Gashead forum there is a thread asking who would like to share in a hospitality/box experience. Apparently the box works out at £165 per person. Not my cup of tea but I suppose if you've got the money fair dues.

The thread has been met with enthusiasm and also has quite a lot of expressions of interest. I just wondered what the response might have been if a similar post had gone on the fishy.

I am in the fortunate position of being able to afford to buy a ticket for myself and family, pay for the travel etc. The total cost of this trip (fees aside and all that argument)is clearly going to exclude a lot of Town's most faithful. It is a shame that everyone who wants to go probably can't and many more are making huge sacrifices in their determination to make it.

Stick yer box...... UTM

I've been working from Town down towards Mablethorpe and Skeg, and there seems to be more interest from outside of the GY boundary than in it.

Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

Jesus’ disciple Peter, picked up a fish to get the tribute money from it, Jesus left his thumb print on the fish, bless'ed is the Haddock.
