I don't think he's an improvement on Eastwood if I'm honest.

Why not, never know might work out like it did with Henderson, if it doesn't I don't think its going to greatly effect the results going forward at the moment

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

It's irritating that we are in this position with goalkeepers, neither look good enough, given all the publicity last season and the extra income.

You can't really build a successful side with a shaky keeper who doesn't inspire confidence.

I don't think today was Eastwoods fault either but it's not just this game. There's been plenty of goals this season where I think he could have done better. He's been fairly poor at commanding his area and isn't pulling off the kind of saves that Mckeown used to make which made up for him not commanding his area well. I honestly think we either need to try Cartwright of send him back and look for a new keep in January

Meanwhile in League One, Max Crocombe is 9th in the league after his Burton side spanked Bristol Rovers 4-1. Been quite a remarkable couple of years for the lad, having signed for us as a 2nd choice stopper in the National League, with Boston seemingly his other option.

Fair play to him.

3 clean sheets across 18 games in all competitions for this squad. Averaging 1.78 goals a game conceded across the season, or 2.1 a game since our last clean sheet at the start of September. Completely unsustainable.

Was interesting to hear Matt Dean explain that Hurst was definitely in for Murphy at Newcastle through the whole summer & came really close. Ultimately counts for frig all now though, how costly that seems to be.

In those 18 games, we’ve only put out the same starting 11 in consecutive games once. Some of that enforced, some not. The back line changes weekly. Conceding goals is a habit that a few of our players have slipped into, and I’m not sure we have it in us to change that mindset.
