I think the issue is the entire defence not containing a huge amount of pace, especially the centre back positions. In the past we've had a speedy CB to nip in and save a slower one who usually has great positional sense on the rare occasions they get caught out.

Waterfall is plenty fast enough for a lower division stopper. Certainly quicker than Ohman or Pollock, though perhaps not by much. From what I saw, he even passed it around reasonably well in the games before his suspension. Never going to be a ball player, but he's a decent defender.

We are lacking a quick player at the back but none of them are too slow for their positions as it stands. A bit of defensive pace adds something extra but we can get by without it for now.
