Yep, the biggest abusers of the tax system always tend to be the ones who benefit the most from the things they donā€™t want to fund. A well educated and skilled workforce, a healthy customer base with money in their pockets, efficient infrastructure and a police force equipped to protect their properties.

Still, ā€œthereā€™s plenty of tax being paidā€ by regular mugs who canā€™t afford creative accountants and financial advisers.

Thereā€™s a reason private schools like Harrow and Eton are registered charities...

I think you are vastly overestimating the importance of John Fenty to GTFC, and vastly underestimating the fans financial input.

The figures talked about are peanuts by todays standards, easily matched by any self regarding consortium, led by someone with a more persuasive and likeable personality.

Did Fenty give a s**t about the football club as he led us to 6 years in non league after making  catastrophic mistakes on and off the field?

Did he care that chronic underinvestment in the team, the stadium and the club in general would leave us miles behind similar sized clubs for nearly 2 decades?

Do you want the club to stay in a rut forever on the off chance that new owners would do any worse?
