I'm sorry, and I know that I will get a lot of red x's for this, but sometimes I wonder about a minority of town fans. It's very difficult for me to comprehend how so many people are unable to see an alternative point of view, or to have the simple human sense of empathy. Osborn moved out of his geographical and footballing comfort zone, because he had a chance of a pro career given to him by his trusted manager Bignot. No sooner than he's got here then his mentor is sacked and slade comes in, a grizzled old pro, with his very different ideas. Osborne is injured, far away from his family and not really wanted. Would you really, honestly and truly want to be living in a cledthorpes bedsit, 100 miles from your family with your Youngn desperately ill, earning a few hundred a week and faced with a boss who doesn't ' fancy" you? Just think how hat must feel on a miserable Wednesday night in cledthorpes. Fair play to jamie, if your family comes first n foremost the he's probably made the right decision. Football is not the be all and end all. Family is.

You’ve fallen for his excuses as well then ? He could’ve done well here for a season and got a move to a bigger club with bigger wages etc etc which would’ve benefited them more . Or fool off back to tinpot Solihull and female dog about gtfc . Soft lad . Oh and he didn’t fook off till we’d got his poorly knee better . Oh and he came out with a load of bollox tweets to try and keep the fans inside. Tosser .

No, fair play in many ways. But still, if you don’t want to be here on a miserable Wednesday (whilst getting paid a footballers wage), then you don’t really wanna play for GTFC. And I’m fairly sure he only played under Bignot for a few months prior to coming here, correct me if I’m wrong.

I don't disagree with much of that but you only have the players word saying the manager didn't fancy him. Slade was quick enough to throw him in of the bench as soon as he could with Jamey making an impact for the 3rd goal versus Swindon. The fact the player came out with that comment after he got what he wanted speaks volumes. As well as being taken out of his geographical comfort zone I suspect he was taken out of his professional comfort zone to.

Exactly Herts, I don't get all the people just going along with the "Slade wouldn't have played him" line.
Jamey was only back fit again for 5 minutes and Slade brought him on against Swindon in the first real game he had the chance to use him.
Might have been left midfield (not central) but it doesn't suggest a manager didn't fancy him.

It's always the same, a player leaves and publically states it's the club/managers fault giving all sorts of reasons. The club/manager can't go out and say all the reasons on the other side of the argument because if they did, nobody would want to sign if the dirty linen gets publicly aired. I guess it plays well for getting the new club behind them as well as sympathy from the fans they've left.
It's the same with managers, Bignot left and said lots about our club, but if the club came out and said all the crazy stuff he did then no manager would want to come here in case the club talked about them too.

It's a good job John McDermott and John Cockerill didn't take the Jamie Osbourne attitude when they were converted from right wing to right back and CH to CM by Alan Buckley.

Wednesdays weren't miserable, when we had Melody Night to look forward to.
