Think of the one-off costs for the day spread out over your lifetime. This brings it into perspective.

Has it been that difficult to get tickets? Yes it's expensive but I went to the link earlier in this thread (or another), waited for the block I wanted then just ordered. Easy peesy for me.

Getting the tickets was easy enough for me, probably easier than making the trip up to BP and queuing up for ages. But i guess some people are stuck in their ways

Second tier now on sale Les. I've got seats in Block 225. Tried to get 226, but it disappeared quickly.

Isn't that just the £41 tickets though?

I need to get 2 kids tickets so we're getting the £36 tickets. Just looked this morning and it's still only showing tier 1 tickets at £36.

Whilst the view is good in pretty much every seat at wembley, sitting in the upper tier doesn't seem such fun for a game like that. Ends up with a fragmented crowd and people too far away...

It's better all bunched up, better atmosphere and a better feeling IMO...

Getting tickets hasn't been has hard as people have made out and I just don't buy the whole 'it's too expensive' malarkey. I've worked out that if I wasn't staying for the weekend it would cost me 10quid more than torquay away or 20quid more than the average away day.

Booking fees are a scam but if you don't want to pay them then you just won't get the chance to go to football/concerts etc anymore...

Were Torquay charging 31 or 36 quid for a ticket then? Pretty sure i paid around 16/18 quid on average for an away game entry this year, so this game is somewhere between 25 - 30 quid dearer than that before anyone leaves their house.  A regular BP attendee who gets an early bird ticket pays 16 so they are paying minimum 25 quid more just for entry.
Regular attendees have their normal travel methods and are used to the travel costs but a casual attendee may be suprised by paying 35-37 quid for a coach trip, a single man travelling alone maybe not an issue, throw in a son or daughter or two and the costs soon spiral.

That may be so but its a few pounds over a life of following a football club. Unless every stops going to football nothing will change. This trip to wembley will be no more expensive than one 17 years ago...

Ah, see the problem Les. Didn't know there were £36 ones up there. Hope so for you, good luck.
