Quoted from LH
Conference have tweeted that 10,000 had been sold in total yesterday. Roughly 4000 Town as BR had done 6000 of those.

Bristol Rovers fans on twitter were claiming they'd sold 18,000. Really starting to get excited by the Billy Big balderdash attitude from some of them - it never ends well.

Official conference Twitter is saying 12500 approx sold on a 3 :1 ration in favour of Bristol but of course of the 12500 sold the Gas claim they have sold 18000 of them!!

Am I the only one who is quite happy that Rovers are outselling us? The more it can feel like an away game, the better for me. Keep us as underdogs

Youngy totally agree. I have been thinking for a couple of days that it may be to Town's advantage to have the lower of the two attendances. Bristol really seem to be getting carried away and believe this is a done deal. The expectation they have put on themselves is massive. I honestly think the pressure of the big following with the massive expectation will be their undoing. So lets not get downhearted if the Town contingent is lower than we expect, it might just work in our favour

Pity for them that the game hinges on 11 v 11 on the grass and not the thousands in the seats

"Come on Rovers, keep buying those tickets and have twice as many supporters
as that little fishy town up in, I think, the north-east."

This all sounds familiar from 1998 when Northampton, with the huge backing of
the rugby fans, sold twice as many tickets (40k) as little old GY  and then were
well and truly outshouted and outplayed.

If the players AND the fans need any more  motivation than they've already got
it's been handed on a plate.

It won't matter. They'll be less Town day trippers so a higher concentrate of Town fans who want to make an atmosphere of it and know the chants.

Also with our now regular Wembley trips a lot of people are quite happy to wait and buy their tickets later knowing they'll be enough of them to get the higher up seats.

I would expect anywhere around 13 to 15 thousand would be good, anymore would be a bonus.

Your spot on I have our attendance around 12,500.

We'll find out on Thursday night when the non-season tickets go on sale. Don't the gate receipts get halved like an FA match anyway so all those rugby fans who don't know a single player's name will be putting money in our League 2 war chest!
