Been wanting to get one arranged for a very long time.... But i've been scared to get one arranged for a very long time.

Can anyone give some advice etc on having it done?
Did it hurt?
Did it hurt after?
Any long term issues after having it done?

I want to be put to sleep, but i've spoken to a few, and they all say was just local anesthetic.

It’s not as bad as it sounds Jarmo, I was worried before having mine done but needn't have been worried, yes the needle is sore but then you don’t feel anything after that (just slight tugging from the doctor) it’s over with quite quickly and the recovery time is quick, I was bruised for a round 3-4 days afterwards.

Grimsby and proud!

If you're feeling really macho, jog home afterwards.

I'm in the same boat as Jarmo. Covid lockdowns have given me an excuse not to pluck up the courage for a while now.

It's not that bad at all. Bit weird but soreness after was pretty minimal for me.

I'd compare it to the dentist. Worse bit is the injection then it's a bit uncomfortable but you're numb so not painful.

Went to a doctors surgery in Lincoln for mine, bit sore for a couple of days. Took some paracetamol for about 48 hours but local anaesthetic is fine.

Covid sorted me right out in that regards to be fair!

I've spoken to drs, who put me through for referral.

They did ask a strange question:
What would i do if 1 of my 2 children die....

As if i would just replace them

You should have said with a serious demeanour and dead pan delivery

‘well it depends entirely on which one Doctor, do you mean the youngest or eldest!?’

….watch them squirm to see if you were indeed serious or not.
